They look ridiculous on any car, don't do it.

They (sometimes) look OK from a distance, but up close it's painfully obvious and very cheesy looking.

If you like them get Em , it's your car and there's nothing wrong with them. I think painting the stock calipers looks cheezy so to each their own.

i have them on my 2010 GT and got a lot of compliments at MW 13' even seen a roush with them on there. and they haven't given me any problems thus for. Alot cheaper then the actual upgrade if your on a budget so it comes down to a matter of opinion..

If that's a Roush he's done a lot to hide the Roush badges and stripes...looks like a GT.

you couldn't let your car sit for like 20 minutes after finishing the last caliper?

last time I painted calipers, the first three were probably already properly dry by the time I started the last one, and by the time all wheels were back on and everything was cleaned up, the last caliper would have already been sufficiently dry.

Just seems like an odd excuse.

Purely personal taste but in my opinion (since you're asking), they fit into the "rice" category. Sorry... but I think they're tacky. They're like "Type R" stickers or LEDs on the washer nozzles.

That money would be much better put into anything else...like gasoline or your next oil change...or put that cash towards a real brake upgrade down the road?

That said, the folks who have them seem to be happy and they look ok if you don't know that it's the automotive equivelant of the clip-on tie.

I agree on the rice thing... rice = all show no go... so yeah.. rice

I have seen these on a lot of cars and me and my friends always make fun of them. I mean whats the point? Its a visual mod and adds nothing to the value or ability of he car.

I would say save up another three or four hundred and get real calipers. TCE is a vendor on the forum and they have amazing prices for a real upgrade.

You do not want my fiesta to have better brakes then a mustang do you?

Painting is the better way to go. The paint only takes 10 minutes to dry.

plastic covers are the same as putting Shelby badges on a v6.

and it's just personal taste. And so what if your Fiesta has better brakes than a mustang. You spent how much extra on the Wilwoods??? And at the end of the day it's still a Fiesta.

all I'm trying to say is that some people don't have the desire to spend the extra 1000+ on a brake upgrade. If it's just looks they're going for, calipers are a nice touch. And I never said your Fiesta (or Focus?) couldn't beat mine. I'm sure it could as I've done nothing to my car. Fiestas just aren't my cup of tea, that was the intent of it being just a fiesta.

I wouldn't put them on unless it says FORD on the or GT. I wouldn't put some name brand on like wilwood unless I had wilwood brakes.
