Best tune for the 5.0?
Yeah I did the same thing. I have not recieved mine yet as after I placed my order I got an e-mail saying they are out of stock
. They said it will be 2-3 weeks so with the weather here I may not get to try it out till spring.
I loaded it last friday, been using it all weekend, didn't drive on Monday.
This definatly wasn't the hardest i have driven it since i loaded the tune, was just driving to work this morning and blurp blurp blurp...

So of course i call up their number this morning and get this dude with a poor atitude telling me "well, you have to request to disable skip shift and traction control".
I kept my calm and just said well i am requesting now, and he said i need to have my device with me to get the serial number to give him so he can help me.
Why do they have all of these options for if you have a CAI, headers or cat back but no option of disabling skip shift and traction control. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Waiting and enjoying 100 hp over the 2010 is just a waste of time for a true Mustang lover. It's just not our way of doing things.

I thought Bama Tunes were one of the best? I 'might' have gone with them on my V-6 but they didn't make one for it yet. I've been running a 93 octane tune from Evolution Performance for a couple months with no problems. This is the first tune i have ever had for a car in my life. It is unreal and took right at 1 full second off my 0 to 60 times.
These tunes are worth the money to me if the only thing they did was remove the top speed limiter. I have a V-6 automatic but if i had a 5.0L manual i would add the removal of the skip shift also. All of the tunes i've seen for the 5.0L said it removed the skip shift but i guess the Bama tune doesn't.

I could not be happier with all of my tunes.I have the Steeda CAI with strategy tune from Steeda that I ran when I first installed my CAI.
This tune was great but on the conservative side.I then called BlowByRacing and they hooked me up with a 91 octane tune that was a absolute monster
next and also my current tune is a 91 octane Brenspeed tune.I'm loving this tune as It has crazy throttle response and just pulls hard in any gear or rpm range.
I go back and forth with my tunes running each one for about a month because there are different things that I like about each tune.Customer service has been stellar with all three companies.I dynoed with the BBR tune and made 406rwhp/386rwtq
I mod every car I own and that has not changed with this my third Mustang

I haven't had a limp mode incident since that one driving in to work that one day.
I also got a new no skip shift 93 race tune from them and have been completly satisfied, I'm not even sure i want ESC/TC turned off by default anymore.
All of the issues I had with the 5.0 about low end torque and trottle response are gone now, you really can't judge a new 5.0 without a tune, you don't know what you are missing.
I didn't how important a tune was with these electronic throttle v8's.

I may get around to it eventually but I'm not really looking to get numbers for each tune.If I go to another dyno day and can get a free or very low cost dyno with A/F ratio,I'll get the numbers on the Brenspeed 91 oct tune.
