Best after cat x-pipe?

I just got gt500 exhuast on my 2012 mustang gt A6. I wanted to get an after cat x-pipe, because I think a off road would be too loud and I dont want to spend almost $500 on a catted one. I originally was set on the ford racing x-pipe, but I noticed alot of people had trouble with the fitment and exhaust leaks. So does anyone have any other suggestions like bbk, bassani, magnaflow, etc...;or did you have no issues with your ford racing x-pipe?

I've always used bbk in my past stangs with no problem, and I hear Bassani is good as well

this is what I used as an oem h-pipe replacement, just plug the holes like this. Fit and finish was great. GL man

I used the Pypes 3" X pipe and had it welded in with 3" aluminized tube back past the resonators and get lots of compliments on the sound with the GT500's. It sounds good when on the throttle but not intrusive at all at cruise. I wanted a catback but am too cheap so this worked for me and gave me the sound I wanted.

You'll see zero gains. Now if you're doing it for a sound change then I can understand that.

I am doing it for sound changes. Would a off road x-pipe like the pypes one do anything for power? Did the Pypes x pipe give it too loud of a sound or raspy? I m looking for what the gt500 axlebacks provide, a nice clean, zero drone, deep sound; but I would just like it a little louder.

it all depends what you're looking for..sound or performance
Personally I think sound is debatable.. but performance

I used the BBK...fitment was perfect, took the guy less than 30 minutes to do everything...i really wanted to lessen the deepness of my Hushpowers and this was perfect!

bassani after-cat X-pipe

My car is stock (GT/Auto) except for a Bama Tune w/C&L CAI. Installed Flowmaster Hushpowers on my 2012 GT...they were anything but "HUSH." I added a Bassani X-pipe and it is quiter now until you go WOT and then it is pretty loud. Very little drone with this combo and my wife likes it quieter. The car seems to have much better throttle response and more torque down low, but I've not had it on a dyno yet. This exhaust combo is pretty good all-around and the sound is VERY nice, too.

The X pipe and resonator delete made it a little louder and added a bit of rasp under throttle but it still is deep and throaty at idle and I don't hear it at all in 6th gear at cruising speeds. If you don't want the rasp, look at an H pipe instead.

Would you say the Bassani fits well enough to tackle the job on jack stands in the driveway??

I'm curious about this as well. Not sure that I want a resonator delete and I really don't want to have it welded

Now I m not too sure about the pypes x pipe because a local guy has a magnaflow true x x-pipe for sale, which he had paired with gt500 exhaust as well. He claims it gave it a nice loud but not too raspy or annoying sound. Anyone have any experience or heard anything about this particualr x pipe?

I think the magnaflow x will be raspy.
