Aeroforce Interceptor Gauges ?

I'm thinking about getting Dual Interceptor gauges so i can display 4 things at once. Now the questions is what would be the 4 most important things to monitor- especially if you have a tune?

1.
2.
3.
4.

I know everyone will have a different opinion and ideas so lets hear them!

I monitor the following with mine:

1. Air Fuel
2. Intake Air
3. Coolant Temp
4. MPH (just because I don't like the analog gauge)

I have a single Interceptor gauge in my car. :)

I have the auto-trans, and was hoping to monitor Trans Temp. and Actual Gear, but those are unfortunately NOT available. I don't know if Trans Temp. works for the Manual. I've emailed Aeroforce to try to get some help, but so far no results.

I have been monitoring my IAT, and frankly it's not needed. With the stock air box, the IAT is always less than +5 from Ambient when you're moving more than about 40 mph. :nice:

I have the LED Annunciator set to +230 Coolant Temp., and I monitor various other values, depending on what I'm doing.

interesting...Well i dont have a auto and manual you cant read the temp on it.

I dont have the stock airbox

1. A/F Bank 1
2. A/F Bank 2
3. MPH (****s and giggles)
4. RPM (****s and giggles)

Once I get the blower on, I will change the bottom values to Boost and Fuel Pressure.

Sweet so once i get a blower having 4 things to monitor will come in handy

I want to go with the BOSS gauge pod and put 2 of these in and then a single one just for boost eventually down the road.

I was thinking

1. A/F bank 1
2. A/F bank 2
3. Oil pressure
4. Fuel Pressure

3rd gauge boost

Keep in mind that you can cycle through up to 8 (IIRC) parameters on each gauge and non-essential things like boost can easily be added to one of your Aeroforce gauges with an analog 2-bar MAP sensor, instead of adding a seperate gauge. I usually display boost/fuel pressure and IATs/coolant, but change it up once and while.

^^ correct so instead of a 3rd gauge for boost what would you put in the extra spot in my 3 pod gauge holder?

do you have any pics of your gauges?

also what color combo do you think will match the '11 interor the best? i was thinking white face with white lcd and black numbers

How do you run a dual gauge setup? Thought they plugged in to the Obd port

They provide you with an OBD II splitter cable when you order a dual setup. It's one cable that plugs into the OBD II port and then splits further down the line.

splitter connector to allow for 2 devices on the OBD

Just when I thought I was done for a little while with mods I see this... Very nice! :hail: Is that the guage pod from AM?

Sorry for my ignorance, but would monitoring air/fuel ratio be beneficial with CAI and tune?

I got it direct from Speed of Sound. Alan is a good buddy of mine, and he'll have my business for life!

I think it'd be smart to monitor A/F on an NA setup because of all these #8 piston issues. You can see if you're running lean.

However, this will average the A/F ratios across the entire bank, so it'd still be hard hard to determine if #8 is leaning out.

I'm thinking of monitoring AFR with my CAI and tune, just to have a visual of how "safe" I am.

Good to know. Thanks. I think I'm going to consider these now.

How hard was it to install the pod?

Nope. No mounting hardware.

I got a Speed of Sound pillar, and these fit with friction.
