Weird HP Numbers for my GT

So I just had my car dynoed for the first time since I had all my modifications done and something just isn't adding up.

While doing research, I learned a stock 2010 GT puts down about 276 HP and 281 TQ to the wheels.

So it was quite the surprise to me that with my modifications, I am only putting 310 HP and 304TQ to the wheels using a DynoJet.

List of mods are:
FRPP Cams
FRPP Throttle Body
JLT Series 3
Pacesetter LT with O/R H
Flowmaster Outlaws
Bama 93 tune

Is this normal? I have been in contact with Bama @ American Muscle and they have been great with helping me.

But wanted to get the forums take on all this. Thanks all for any help

I am not surprised. How many times do we have say it there is very little to be gained if you don't go to forced induction.

I'm not that familiar with it, but that seems about right to me. My best guess of your breakdown:

List of mods are:
FRPP Cams - Minimal gain
FRPP Throttle Body - Insignificant
JLT Series 3 - Minimal
Pacesetter LT with O/R H - Minimal
Flowmaster Outlaws - Insignificant
Bama 93 tune - This is most of your gain.

Something is off...should be closer to 330. Without the cams should be around your numbers 315/305.

2010Black_GT1,

I noticed in your profile (on AFM), your GT is an automatic. These numbers are exactly on par with an automatic 3v. Keep in mind that even a fully locked torque converter will roughly have a 10% slip. This is one reason automatics don't make as much power on a dyno as manuals.

Another important thing to note- is dyno numbers are just a reference of power. They can only simulate race conditions and aren't a true way to show how well a car performs. The best way to test that is on the track!

That being said, I think your dyno numbers are awesome for the current mods and automatic transmission! I would be very happy with those dyno results.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!

Shane

Oops...didn't bother to look if auto or manual.

The team with Bama @ American Muscle have been great in helping me solve this issue as based on my dynojet, I was running lean. I haven't had a chance to test it yet but will hopefully have some results by this weekend. American Muscle and their team continue to provide excellent customer service with their tunes.

Attached the dynojet for anyone that was curious
