Exhaust

I have the 40 series American thunder flowmasters and just got a pypes o/r x pipe is the sound as bad as everyone says? I've heard 03 and 04 gts with two chamber flows and o/r x pipes is the sound worse then those or about the same?

Flowmasters and offroad x on the 03/04 GT's sounds good, but it's definitely not the case on our cars. The 03/04 GT's run a mid muffler setup whereas the 3V has a rear mounted muffler setup. (Unless you run a custom mid muffler setup like I do). I ran my Bassani x pipe catless with the stock mufflers which is a very similar sound to Flowmasters. It was raspy and very tiny. When decelerating it sounds like a can of marbles being rattled around and to me it was embarassing. Some people love it though so it's in the eye of the beholder. Chambered mufflers and offroad x is always going to be extremely raspy on the 3V.
