Ford will be opening the order banks for the 2013's in December. So I think you can order a SG 2012 GT now or order a 2013 SG GT in Feb. If you look on AutoTrader or Cars.com you can find 2012 SG GTs now, unless you aren't ready to buy until Feb. |

Welcome to the forum! Like 12MCAV6PP mentioned, the last of the 2012 orders will be taken around the end of this month or December. I recommend you place your order soon. Once you place your order, you can PM me with your dealer’s name and order number so I can help you track it. Have a good one! Deysha |

Just ordered my 2012 Sterling Gray last night 01/02/2012
Just like you guys I got the fever again. When I finally decide to by a 2012 Mustang I debated the colors and finally landed on Sterling Gray. I had no idea that the color SG was a discontinued color or hard to find. It wasn't until I tried to build the car at Ford website and saw that there was no longer a sterling gray choice. The only place I was able to see it was in the brochure I got from the dealer. So like many of you I was trying to locate a SG V6 with a Pony package w Black Interior. I began realize this would never happen and i should go with a backup colors choice (Kona Blue and Ingot Silver). On New Years day I began to put my feelers out on Autotrader and ebay to tried to find the right one for me. I found 2 sterling grays in texas, both with black leather and pony package. This is way to far to even consider since I live in New Jersey. About 5 quote requests later via Fords website and various dealers in my area I finally started to get really good pricing but not a single SG V6 Pony Pack to be found. One dealer very close to where I live said they could get the car via a Spec order. DONE DEAL!!
So last night I signed on the line and order a Sterling Gray V6 Pony package. And since I get to build it my way I got it with the Black and Lava interior along with the comfort package. in 6 to 8 weeks I will post back with photos. So Im hear to say that SG is still available if you order it. MSRP was about 30 grand. After all the incentives and rebates I paid about $26200 before taxes and title. |

Went back and forth between Lava and Saddle. Finally picked Saddle. Hope the wait goes fast for you. |
I only wish I could have added the pedestal spoiler. But they said the package would not allow it in their order system. It wasn't a deal breaker anyway. I don't mind waiting 6 - 8 weeks of winter months :). Let them take there time. What year is yours?

2012's until the begining of October. You can always switch to a pedestal spoiler later if you want to. I swtiched from the stock MCA package spoiler (same as a GT) to a GT500 spoiler. Your switch might be a little trickier since I think the pedestal requires more mounting holes than the stock Pony package spoiler. If you buy a factory one it will come with the necessary instructions maybe even a template for mounting. |
Got any cool photos of your 2012 to post?

I need to take some new ones since I've added the GT500 spoiler. I took these the day after I got the car back in November. |
Looks like a sweet ride. I bet you take the long way home every chance you get. I used to own 2 mustangs back in the early 90. Both were 1968 coupes. I'm so stoked that the one I just ordered has so many styling cues that resemble the 68. Starting to wonder if I should have opted for the performance package like you did. Those wheel look awesome.

I had a 68, also had a 71, 69 and a 1980. My 68 was a 390 4spd GT it was the first ground up restoration I did. Sold my 69 to a guy who lives near D.C. to buy my 2012. It wasn't something I planned but up until my new one every Mustang I've owned has been white. |
Wow!! Nice stable of ladies ;)

Sports Roof if you prefer. But it had a real Boss 302 motor in it. It was originally put together back in the mid 70's two owners prior. It also had Boss suspension and transmission. I sold the toploader to a guy restoring a real Boss. I put a Tremec 5 speed in its place. It was great car but sat in the garage half the year during the winter. Had for 10 years and it was time for someone else to enjoy it. I bought my new one so I could drive it all the time which is what I'm doing. Got a set of winter rims and tires on it so I'm not worried about snow or whatever. Just noticed you also have the SG/Saddle combo and glass roof like me Very good taste. |
