Blessing in Disguise!

So a couple weeks ago, I was in a wreck in Arlington. A girl slammed into me from behind and knocked me into the car in front of me. Needless to say, both bumpers and my Borla touring exhaust all need replacing. Well I'm taking this opportunity to upgrade to the GT front bumper/grill and rear valance (am I the only one who actually prefers the GT rear valance to the GT500 one? but I digress...). I'm also switching to the S-Type mufflers as I want something a little louder than the Touring. And to top it all off, he's going to paint matte black racing stripes down the center of the car (10.5 inch stripes with 7/8 inch gap in between). And don't worry, I'm not badging it out like a GT...not trying to pass it off as a GT, just like the front end a whole lot more. Definitely more aggressive...

And because the accident was totally the other driver's fault, I don't have to come up with the deductible, which means essentially all I'm out to do all these changes is $70 for the GT grille surround! Anyway, here are some pics I took today of the car in the shop after the stripes had been painted on. Can't pick it up til tomorrow because the paint still needs more time to cure, but I am VERY pleased with the job he did!

I apologize for the dirtiness of the car, and yes the hood is popped.

*I should also add that the rocker stripes were painted on as well. I chose to go with dual stripes because I thought it matched the lemans stripes much better.

Love the stripes. And the little flag hanging in the corner :nice:

Alright, well three LONG weeks after the accident (which seemed like an eternity), I finally have her back....and here she is! I actually had the opportunity to fall in love with my car all over again today! Oh....and sterling grey was made for black stripes :D
