Well I finnally changed up my team just slightly.

I dropped Martin and Wimmer, picked up Rudd and Vickers.

how does fantasy league nascar work. is it like fantasy baseball or football?

 

yeah sorta i guess.. you get to pick 6 drivers with a certain amount of money.. then you earn points for those drivers per race depending on how they do. Its really fun, i've enjoyed this season of nascar more than I ever have in the past.

 

I haven't played any other fantasy league so I can't compare but you start with $125 and pick 6 drivers. Each week your drivers' worth changes based on how well they did in the previous week. You are initially given 6 free trades and can buy more if you like. If you plan to trade alot (like me) then buying in bulk gets you more trades/$.
Season is broken up into segments so you have race winners, segment winners and overall leaders.

As far a points go, your 6 drivers each receive their NASCAR points which are totaled to give your score. You are ranked ordered to based on how others in the league did.

You can join at anytime but if you wanted to wait until the current segment is complete, then sign up after Jun 13th race.

Yeah. I will not be able to post realtime updates until the last Sunday of Aug. I'm deployed for 3 months and don't have access to a computer during the races.

My little "road course hired guns" switch netted me about 120 extra points but cost 4 me trades. Too bad I didn't trade Busch and Kahne instead of Mears and Kahne.

Oh well, it was still worth it. That 120 points might be the difference in where I end up at the end of the year.
