Changing my avatar right now..

Fantastic!! Congratulations to the Tasmanian Devil!! :nice:
Ambrose finished 3rd today in Sprint series.
Just a great weekend for him!!!
He should be in that 21 car all the time, the Wood Brothers need him...
He's gonna be driving that #47 Ford for JTG next season in Sprint.
Sadly, only the miracle can save Wood Brothers. Maybe they should talk with David Pearson about comeback, heck, he's 73 years old, but still can drive. :jester: |
Driver plans for the #21 thru RIR: Marcos Ambrose will be in the Wood Brothers’ #21 Fusion at Michigan International Speedway and again at California Speedway on Aug. 31. Bill Elliott will drive the car on Aug. 23 at Bristol Motor Speedway and Jon Wood, son of team co-owner Eddie Wood, will drive it at Richmond International Raceway on Sept. 6.(Ford Racing)(8-12-2008)
Good news!! Bill is my all time favorite driver, evn though he went to Dodge for a while and that is geat for Ambrose he can use the "Speriance"
I like it!!
Ambrose qualified 39th for Sunday's race at Michigan.
Bill Elliott will be driving that #21 Ford this week at Bristol.
He qualified 5th. |
AND II: also hearing that the other primary sponsor for Reutimann in the #00 Toyota in 2009 will be Dow Chemical Company.(9-22-2008)
I think you missed the part with Ambrose and Little Debbie rumored to be headed to MWR. **** shame if FMC let's Ambrose go . .
Ups.
Thanks for correction. I pasted the wrong part. |
JTG Daugherty Racing to Toyota? JTG Daugherty Racing hasn't named a manufacturer for next season when it moves full time to the Sprint Cup Series from the Nationwide Series but the team was working out of a Michael Waltrip Racing hauler on Saturday at Kansas Speedway. JTG Daugherty, which qualified on speed for Sunday's Cup race with driver #47-Marcos Ambrose, had a hauler fire in June that destroyed one of its transporters. The team got some help from Richard Childress Racing when it qualified for the Allstate 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in late July. But could the team working out of a MWR hauler at Kansas be a sign of a potential affiliation and a move to Toyota? JTG Daugherty currently fields Fords. "Obviously we have a really good relationship with Michael Waltrip Racing," Geschickter said. "At this point, we're not ready to announce anything. But we know them better than most in the fact that we were able to go straight over there and borrow some equipment."(SceneDaily.com)(9-28-2008)
UPDATE 2: JTG Daugherty Racing has signed what team co-owner Brad Daugherty called a "technical alliance" with Michael Waltrip Racing, and thus will field Toyota Camrys full-time in the Sprint Cup Series beginning in 2009. The deal will be announced formally Wednesday afternoon. Under the agreement, JTG/Daugherty receives the same chassis, engines and technological information-sharing that Waltrip gets through Toyota Racing Development. "This way we don't come out of the box already behind," said Daugherty, reached by phone Wednesday. "Actually, this puts us about two years ahead of where we would have been otherwise." Daugherty, an ESPN NASCAR analyst, said the alliance includes the #47 team being housed under the MWR roof. Daugherty stressed there was still independence from MWR, however, saying it is not a merger and that the #47 is not a fourth Waltrip team. "We'll work with Toyota Racing Development out of Costa Mesa [Calif.], and all their parts and pieces already flow through MWR," Daugherty said. "It just makes sense for us to be in-house over [at MWR]." Marcos Ambrose will drive the #47 Toyota, with sponsorship from Little Debbie Snack Cakes and Clorox.(ESPN.com)(10-1-2008)

This sucks. I really don't know why would they want to use Toyotas since they suck right now, even those from Gibbs.
I'm done . . . . until Daytona and the first road course! :jester:
Bad move for them.
Michael Waltrip Racing is one of NASCAR's worst teams. |
What a bummer..................
I get the e-mails from Marcos race team and I dont know if they actually accept e-mails back but I sent them a letter stating how dissapointed I was that they were switching to Toyota and I cannot root for him while he drives that POS!
Time to change your avatar Dave.
Am I wrong? I really like Marcos but it was like Bill Elliott, my favorite driver of all time and when he switched to Dodge, crushed wasn't even close to what I was feeling. I guess I'm just a complete Ford guy but he was one of the reasons I fell for Fords...1987 I bought my first brand new car which I still have 87 GT Vert..Man I dont know..
I feel better now! Thanks Zoran!!

get over it...I can understand not keeping the Ambrose fanship...but Martin and Elliott? I followed Elloitt to Dodge becuase we is one hell of a racer, and a standup American. Same thing with mark. I started liking them becuase they drove fords, but thats no reason stop rooting for them to do well.
....Would I hater Tiger Woods if he starting playing Titleist instead of Nike? ....Would I hate Micheal Phelps if he stopped wearing Speedo googgles? I can understand your posistions...but they are just making career discisions....If I remember right...Bill and Mark both still drive mustangs. |
I still don't understand why Martin left. He complained how he wanted to drive just a part time schedule and that's why he left Roush after 19 years. And yet he'll be driving a full season next year at Hendrick ...
can you say Micheal jordan?...Brett Farve, Roger Clemons?...the greats just cant give up. Its in them. They think they're done, but that cant stay out of it.
I understand it, but I wish it wouldnt happen, I have to lose a little respect everytime it happens
Zoran how could you!!!!:bs: Your right just doesnt work.....
Marcus drove his first race for Waltrip yesterday.
Did pretty good considering he drove for one of NASCAR's worst teams. He finished 29th. |
Air Force leaving Wood Brothers? hearing that the Air Force sponsorship will leave the #21 Wood Brothers Ford and could be headed to either one of the Roush Racing teams [#'s 6,16,17,26,99] or Yates Racing [#28, #38].(11-6-2008) |
Hmmmmm.
