Honest answer please.
I have a Boss 302, I love the car and enjoy it very much. However I have the opportunity to purchase a GT500 2012 at a very reduced price.
Does anyone have both a GT500 and a Boss and could tell me which they really prefer? I have to buy the car untested but just to say I know that the car is 100% ok... I have to purchase long distance and therefore can't drive it before purchasing and collecting. Am I going to prefer the GT500 and not drive the Boss anymore, am I going to prefer the Boss and wind up just selling the GT500... Are they so different that I will enjoy driving both for different reasons? I just don't want to buy it, then find that one of my cars becomes redundant because they are to similar and one if much better to drive than the other. I am thinking someone might have both and be able to offer some experienced words of wisdom....? |
Keep the boss

What can a Boss do that a GT500 can't?
Compare the drive train on both and your question will be answered. |

keep the boss.. it would be cheaper and faster to add a supercharger to the boss.

Supercharge the Boss. Unless you prefer the Shelby styling.

It sounds like he's keeping the Boss either way, and thinking about adding the 500 to his collection. He's wondering if it would be different enough to warrant buying.
I'd say this, the GT500 will make a better cruising car, with the nicer amenities, but the Boss might be more fun to drive hard. If you can afford both, I don't see you being unhappy about it. That way you'd put less miles on both cars too! |
I agree that you should keep the Boss, but I'd go with a 2013 GT500.
