There's no denying that Teslas are quick. When a car comes equipped with "ludicrous" and "insane" options for your rate of acceleration, it has to back up those claims.

I'm glad at least Godzilla got the Tesla. I've always like GT-Rs

There’s no denying that Teslas are quick. When a car comes equipped with “ludicrous” and “insane” options for your rate of acceleration, it has to back up those claims. So how does it stack up against one of Ford’s best performing quarter-mile monsters? Well, either read a bit further or take a look at the video below (or both).

Spoiler alert: if you’re a Mustang fan, this might not be easy to watch. You might not care about how the Tesla wins, but you will want to ask the Mustang driver how it is possible to bog a launch that badly. All the Tesla had to do was floor it. And by seeing all the runs throughout the night, 10.8s were pretty much a guarantee.

However, if there’s any solace to be found, the Tesla pretty much trounced everything else that lined up against it that night. A Golf R stood no chance. Even a Lamborghini Huracan couldn’t match the P1o0D’s pace. The only thing that actually put up a decent fight was a modified Nissan GT-R. It just makes you wonder if the GT500 could have kept up with a decent launch.
