If your not aware of it already there is a website ... gtcsregistry . Lots of info there with stats for each year on production numbers broken down into colours , options etc.You can also get a certificate from Ford Performance Group for your own GT/CS.

Special sections don't seem to draw much here. Unless its the latest and greatest. Heck seems like the last few times people posted in the Bullitt section, the dang mods moved it to the general section.

Wrongo. The GT/CS package is $1995, you get embroidered seats, GT500 splitter, pedestal spoiler, Special Rims, seats and dash board. The front grille, facia and foglights are also unique.
Please get your facts straight before posting ignorance.

I don't really see the value in all the special editions. I'd rather see them dumped except for Boss and GT500 and replaced with more specific general sections, like suspension, engine, and styling. More organization for the masses.

correct!
but it really is not a rare or special edition. Its like asking for a sub forum for everyone that has the GT appearance packagea, 2, and 3. My shelby Gt had all those options you listed but only got to be part of the shelby sub forum because of the shelby name on the car.

I agree 100%! I was on the Pontiac G8 forums before I bought my Mustang and they were organized by engine/tuning, suspension/brakes, wheels, appearance, etc. It made finding what you were looking for SO much easier. Seeing as the search function is pretty much useless it causes the same threads to be posted over and over again.
I'd really like to see this forum go away from the main page, which goes through threads at lightning speed, and go to more organized sections. We get so many duplicates here it makes your head spin.

While currently ordered as a package, Ford considers the the GT/CS a "limited edition" and issues certificates of authenticity for them. Just the the Boss and GT500. The California Special was the first limited editions Mustangs ever made. They don't issue certificates for MCA or Pony packages or even a Premium GT. Also fewer GT/CS's were made then either Boss' or GT500's.

A different organization of the sections does sound like a good idea. "Newbie questions" would be a good section to start. It may minimize the above countless topics. It doesn't bother me but it seems to aggravate some of you guys .

Hopefully you can take comfort in the fact that you can go to a sub-forum that recognizes the color of your vehicle which is apparently more important..........
Explain that one to me.......
P.S. - Ryan - I love the car! Really!
