2008 Ford Shelby GT500 Is the Last of a Breed

Before the Mustang got independent suspension, before drivers decided to do burnouts outside of car meets, there was the GT500, which demanded respect.

Technology didn't really begin to change until after the 2009-10 model year.. Therefore if your referring to just technology alone. I would consider the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 as the last of it's breed.. However if your referring to body style on the other hand, I would then consider the 2014 GT500 as the last of it's breed.. Anyhow just my $.02 for what it's worth

Yes Rocky. I was referring to looks and power.
I go with those 2 things before I go with technology. I don't care much about interior technology and stuff like that unless it's my daily driver. Don't get me wrong, I'll take it if it's there, but don't really need to have it. I want the toy to be kinda old school and have a "raw" feeling/look to it.

07-09 have the rawest old school feeling to them. It's the only reason the newer GT500's didn't and still don't appeal to me. IMO they lost more and more of that "character" with each passing model year.

Refinement and efficiency is great... in an appliance like a Toyota Corolla

The ’08 GT500 may look old...
I... seriously don't get why this was even typed up. It's gorgeous, and looks brand freaking new.

I mean, it's getting to the point of if it's not 2 years or less, it 'looks old', 'dated'...

What the entire heck. This body style looks better than 90% of the stuff out there today.

Guess I'm 'old'.

Hey Tony, I should've clarified my original response was directed at the OP's post.. However I totally agree with you about not needing modern technology and the creature comforts that go along with it.. Like yourself, I want my fun car to have the old school/raw feel/retro look to it.. The creature comforts and interior technology is the purpose for having a daily driver

For the video purpose, last of it's breed = body style ?
Last of the iron block was 2010.
2012 was the last of the aluminum 5.4
2014 was the last 5.8 / GT500.
