Barrett-Jackson
I made my yearly visit to Barrett-Jackson. Had a great day. If any of you have not been to Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, it is like going to heaven for a car guy. Actually it is acres and acres of classics, muscle cars, and one of a kind pristine vehicles. After seeing so many great cars there, I really am glad I've got a Mustang GT in my garage! Here is just a small sampling of the many pictures I took this year.........

Thanks guys. Barrett really is something else. It's so big that you really can't see it all in one day unless you rush. Besides the cars there are all kinds of automobilia items and anything relating to cars from art to models to garage tools and lifts and such. Anything you can imagine relating to cars is there. Plus watching these bidders bid sometimes millions of dollars on pristine numbers matching vehicles is unbelievable. Try to catch it on the Velocity and Discovery channels this week. A lot of fun.

Pretty interesting stuff and I'm looking forward to watching it as much as possible this week, especially when the creme de la creme hits the stage.
But I got a couple of nits to pick with the presentation and lack of knowledge in one case.
One was a 2010 Mustang GT described as a Roush. To the announcers credit they explained that wasn't a real Roush, but simply had been modded with all the Roush goodies. Essentially it was no different than what many of the members here do with their Mustangs. But it was still shown as a "2010 Mustang Roush" at the time of the auction. I thought that was misleading.
One car that bothered me was a yellow '32 Ford roadster pickup with a flathead, sitting on a shortened frame with a shortened bed. It was clearly a Deuce and presented as such, but the announcer referred to it a few times as a Bucket T, and another announcer described it as a Model A. Not much credibility in my opinion. There is a huge difference between a Bucket T and a '32. They should have been aware.
I'm off my high horse now....overall I enjoyed it so far, but I'll be looking for mistakes, rest assured!!!!
