3rd Annual Mustang/Ford Roundup

Drags, autocross, and time trials, along with a Car Show and tech talk with Ford Engineers. You really need to put Sept. 20-22 on your calendar to hang out and run with a ton of FOMOCO fanatics right in the heart of America. This event has been garnering accolades from everyone who attended the first two years, as it not only involves all kinds of track events, some of the Engineers that were on the Boss 302 project show up each year and compete along side all the other Boss and Mustang Owners. Very likely to see upwards of 100+ Mustangs/Fords during the Roundup, and it is easy to register, just go to www.racemph.com for information ( click on the schedule and the Roundup pops up at the top ).

Clubhouse on site , so the bench racing gets pretty good too, and there is food/drink on Friday night prior to the Ford Engineer's program, and Saturday night will likely include steaks!!

We have had drivers from as far away as Arizona and Ohio , and I know for a fact that one Ohio driver has already signed up this year --- this is an event worth the drive and the competition is getting better and better each year.

Feel free to call me if you want any further information.

Don't know how to retitle the heading, but the track Mgr., George Anderson , has changed this to read ( on the track website ) , as the 3rd Annual Mustang Roundup and Boss Reunion 2013!! Makes sense as there were a ton of Bosses at the first two events, the Ford Engineers who come and participate , are guys that helped bring the Boss back, and they are anticipating as many as 50 may show up this year. So , if you want to be at one of the largest gatherings of Boss 302s in the US ( probably should rewrite that also as know of a 69 Boss 429 that is planning to show ) , you really need to make it to Hastings, Nebraska this coming September.

Consulting Google maps to see how far the drive is...

Fastoldman 8/1/13 11:25 AM

Forget Google, we will make sure if you come down from Ontario you get a proper Midwestern Welcome ---- yep, we will pay for all your beer while there. Heh, who said folks in Nebraska aren't close kin to Canadians ( same strong up bringing, good moral character and a distinct enjoyment of cereal malt beverages ,ha ).

Mustang259 8/11/13 08:30 AM

did someone mention free malted beverages?

Fastoldman 8/12/13 05:46 PM

Yes ,we did, as there is a guy named Chad ( from South Dakota) who is absent minded enough to leave his cooler around with plenty of ice cold golden colored thirst quenchers --- racers must stay hydrated. If you show up I will tell you where this secret area is and you too can find the gold at the end of the race track ( afterwards of course ).

Plus , since some of us are old and senile, George Anderson , Track Manager Extraordinaire, has now set up registration for the AARP set -- no **** online registrations, check out www.racemph.com and you can sign up the dignified old fashioned way ( with a check or if you are progressive you can fax it in , ha)

Will guarantee after the time trials, the drags, the autocross, the car show, the tech talk, the steak dinner, the Friday night social, the bench racing, the lying, the partying, you will want to come back next year for the friends and good times. Talk to anyone who has gone in the past and you will hear nothing but praises for this September get together.

We plan on bugging George, so you all can get a ride on the Bacardi Bus, too -- if you have to ask , you better just come and then you will understand!

Mustang259 8/13/13 08:39 AM

Since I have a convertible, will I be restricted to autocross only? In other words is this event convertible friendly?

Fastoldman 8/20/13 06:02 PM

Of course it is convertible friendly ---- all Ford events enjoy things topless!

There is STILL time to sign up for Hastings!

This event is quickly becoming the "can't miss" Mustang and Boss 302 event in the country. Last year, we had 45 late-model Boss 302 Mustangs in attendance and almost 75 Mustangs total. This year is looking even better! And yes, we will have several Ford employes in attendance talking about what it took to get the new Boss 302 Mustangs to market and some of the decisions made along the way.
