Can anybody tell me what is that on the rear right axle on the top. Is that some kind of vent?
Is that normal that it is greasy all around that ‘vent’. I was looking Haynes book for this thing but there is nothing about it. I only saw on one picture of underbody that the axle is greasy in the same place.

That is a Vent! No Worries! 4r3z4022aa is the Part Number to Be Exact! Without it Pressure would Build up and Blow out the Seals! On Trucks they will have a Hose coming off of them to get above any Water encountered in 4 wheeling!

Ok that what I was thinking it is. But why it is only on right side why not on left as well?

Is that the "vent tube" for the differential? I was looking for it on the pumpkin!
