Parasitic Battery Drain on a V6
Parasitic Battery Drain on a V6
My 2007 Mustang V6 has a parasitic battery drain on the 56th (Radio), 67th (SJB #4), and a very small pull from the 68th (20A Ignition) fuse. The radio fuse pulls the most and the the SJB fuse pulls most of the rest of the amps. It starts off by pulling about 1.85 amps and the I pull the Radio fuse and it drops 1 amp so that leaves about .85 amps and most of that goes away when I pull the SJB #4 fuse. The 20A Ignition fuse makes it drop about .05amps so I don't know if that means anything or not.
What should I do from here? Do I need to take out the radio or replace the SJB or go to an auto parts place so they can scan the SJB?
Also I would like to add that the battery doesn't die when the car isn't running. It has stayed fully charged but when the car is running it starts to die on me. I have already replaced the alternator because the car started dying and I got it tested and mine was bad so I replaced it. After replacing the alternator and my car died a week later is when I found out about parasitic batteries and pulled my fuses. So to rap up, what should I do next to fix this problem?
