How many miles/km are on you're 2005 GT, depending on the mileage, it could be time for a spark plug change...

what makes you think you are getting misfires, if there are no codes?

If they're the original plugs? I would pull at least a couple and check the electrode tips... If they are the original plugs, you're looking at spark plugs that are now 19 yrs old.

Hi.

yes , maybe it`s time to replace plugs and coils. ( but a little early acc. to service book )

see what I can find if it`s the real problem here. ( i will go for motorcraft if available )

If you wait until reaching 100k miles as the owner's manual recommends, you risk a much higher chance of your 2-piece design spark plugs separating inside the heads due from carbon build-up on the electrode shields which results in the spark plugs seizing up during the extraction process... Check out the attachment link provided below which explains the flaws of the early S197 spark plug design and proper procedure for maintaining and changing the 2005-early 2008 2-piece design spark plugs...

Hi again.

After cleaning the fuel-filter the problem has gone. Drive perfect now , and a kind of "new sound" from the exhaust.

New filter is ordered, ............and to be safe I ordered new coils and plugs as well.( all motorcraft )

Have a great summer guys

lesson learned: always check the basics first .... we should have mentioned the fuel filter back at the beginning; but codes are also one of the first basics to check
