Interior Rear Rattle Fixed
I'm removing my posting...the rattle is back!
what did you think that they did before that may have stopped it.
I thought that the rattle was coming from my driver's side rear seatback since it was not fully latched...the rear seatback is now fully latched and it's seatbelt is secured tight between the seatback and the rear armrest area, however, the rattling/creaking continues whenever I hit a bump in the road. It's back to the drawing board. I also pressed in the C Pillars in the rear in case they were the culprits contributing to the creaking noise. On my way to work today...the noise appears to have stopped...for how long...I don't know...darn gremlins!!:banghead:

Try checking out inside the trunk, where the liner attaches to inside the rear quarter panels with push-pins, in the top section of the liner (both sides). I replaced my rear bumper cover the other day and noticed that this push-pin fits into a clip that is loose, which rattles metal against metal, possibly squeaking too. Just tap on the inside liner a little and you'll hear what I'm talking about. Just a thought.

SoFLO5GT, I'll be sure to give that a shot...it's amazing...the noise seems to come and go. It was fine this morning as I drove home (about 20 miles)...since I was just below a half tank of gas I decided to stop and fill up...once I did that, the noise returned...there are times that it can really drive me nuts...however, with the music on (even only a quarter volume), I can't hear it. Sounds more and more like creaking, than a tapping. Go figure!

Mine was an exhaust shield rattling..
check the plastic cover over the trunk lock assembly. Mine was rattling when I cranked up the shaker. A small piece of duct tape placed on the back side where it can't be seen did the trick.
I also experienced this same rattle for the longest time and it made me furious! One day I hopped into the back seat and banged on the back ledge under the window and realized every time i banged on it, it would rattle. I then crawled into my trunk and banged on the ledge from the underside. I found a small section where it looked like a tack-weld didn't get fully umm 'tacked'? I then bent the corner in a way that the rattle was completly removed.
