Idler pulley or alternator bearing?
 

Hi everyone, I have a 2008 Mustang GT and I’m hearing a strange noise coming from under the hood. I’m trying to narrow down what it could be. Any help would be appreciated.

I Would Pull Drive Belt and if Noise Goes Away Feel All The Various Drive Items and Check For Roughness. If Noise Persists Less Belt I Would Be Thinking Timing Gear Components.

Also Here is The Latest & Greatest App For Engine Vibration! I Know The App is Great For Drivetrain Issues Not Sure How Well it Works For Narrowing Down Actual Engine Issues! Just an FYI!
