It's Not a Factory Part I Can Assure You.

Is There Any Writing on Other Side??

Could Be Part of an Aftermarket Alarm.

What Exactly is it Wired into?

Does Your Car Have Two Different Style Keyfobs??

Is There an Alarm Horn Underhood??

no writing, just the min and max on it.
it would make sense if it's an alarm, when I originally got the car I had to have one installed at ford.
they didn't connect everything but the the wires that are connected are spliced into my bcm wires and i only noticed becausw my bcm I think is giving me problems.

Fuel pump short to ground problem

So I replaced my fuel pump, even though the old one was still working because I had these check engine light codes for rail sensor and fuel gauge. Didn't help the codes, so I replaced the rail sensor. Nothing changed. So I'm driving to work and the fuel just stopped and I had to tow it home. I'm gone through the bcm contacts, and any wiring I can find and I can't find the problem. I even put the old pump in just to check and nope. The only thing that changed on the code reader was short to ground b1204 for the fuel sender. I tested the ground connection and it seems to be working. I really need some help to find the solution. I went looking for all the grounds around the car but not sure if I found them all. Any one got some suggestions or anything to please help. I Also bought a fuel pump driver module but haven't installed it. I checked the inertia switch, it is suppose to click btw? Mine doesn't click in or out just stays down so I don't think it's the problem but I don't know if that's how the switch is suppose to operate.

Can You Tell Me Which Plug The Wires Go To???

C2280f. I think they are all spliced there. I can check again tomorrow. Any chance you have a visual picture of all ground locations for v6? I can only seem to find a list of them telling me the general location.

What is that Min/Max dial on the relay for, is it for voltage :dunno:

Cgreen Oct 13, 2024 02:47 PM

I was thinking it was for volume of the alarm system. I'm not 100% sure though. I have the sbj off right now but when I put it all back together I can test it and see if it changes anything.

m05fastbackGT Oct 13, 2024 06:51 PM

Very good point for adjusting the volume of that alarm system... Although I'm also not 100% sure, I would think for adjusting the volume of the alarm system would seem to make the most sense IMHO. :dunno:

I'm honestly thinking of taking it out because multiple wires are just cut and it kinda bothers me. I haven't confirmed if it's the alarm yet though, I just finished cleaning the bcm and all the connections. So I'm taking a break before reconnecting it and testing the min max part. I'm mainly praying the car will start once I hook everything back up. But I'll update once I find out. Also if anyone has any suggestions about fixing this **** fuel problem. I would appreciate it. I bought a new to me, used bcm and I get Friday to see if that's the problem. Looking at all the wiring down there, I can't seem to find any wiring that has been damaged. I haven't followed the wiring past the the passenger footwell to see but I honestly think the problem is down there. Before knowing about the rain and firewall problem, I had water in my passenger area and that's when the check engine light for this problem started and now it's just worse.

What is The Number on The Used Bcm You Bought? Do You Know Vin off of Car it Came off Of?

If You Have That Vin I Could Compare To Your Sjb With Your Vin & See any Potential Issues By Running a Car Build Comparison.

I dont know the vin, I do have a picture of mine and the one I'm expecting in the mail. Mine is the first one where you can see the fuses mostly. The second one is the one I ordered. Someone broke the big connector on the back, so not c2280h but the slexaxt one behind the bcm. How do I replace that? They broke off the gray center part the allows it to clip in and hold.
