Electrical problems in a 2005 gt
I just tried to put new subs in and new wiring, but now the car doesn’t start doesn’t have any lights on except the rear brake lights and front lights, the dash lights, or deck don’t come on so I tried boosting it but still was the same
Howdy!
Well, the obvious thing to do is to check all the changes you made and ensure you've not got a short or crossed wiring. And if you think it's all good, then you need to check fuses. And if those are good... I'd be putting all the wiring back the way it was before and see if that fixes it. Then you can figure out what went wrong, make the changes and go on with the project.
And if that doesn't fix it... oof. You got issues.
Wiring is so much fun. Not. Sometimes the new stuff has to be ripped out and started over when you get these gremlins. Stock is best, then work from there. You might want a wiring diagram. http://iihs.net/fsm/?d=40
I know that's not all that much help, but that's pretty much it. Whatever you did changed/broke things. Putting it back should fix it, one would desperately hope. In any event, Inspection, testing, and knowledge about what wires go where, what fuses do what, is going to have to be done/had and that's just the way that is.
Like I said. Fun.
I do hope it helps, and welcome to the forums!
