Don't panic, It'll be OK

On the way home the other day I got the dreaded "CEL" saying to check my charging system. As it always happens, copious amounts of dollars leaving my wallet danced in my head. Luckily it was nothing serious. The alternator cable to the battery was loose. Tightened all the battery connections, and we were off again with no "CEL's". Sometimes we just get lucky.

yeah, I have the dreaded CEL on my dash right now too .... code is something about the EVAP sensor pressure being out of range or something like that ... I'm pretty sure there is an easy fix for this, involving WD-40, need to do a little searching in the forum, hopefully not a big deal for me either

Yeah, it's probably something easy. Back in '80 I was issued a brand new Plymouth Volare patrol car (POS). Back them the CEL was a little light that looked like a motor. The light came on at around 200 miles on the car. Took to the garage, and the old mechanic said "drive the dayum thing, if it quits running call me". I turned the car in with 97K miles, and that dang little light was still burning under the piece of tape that I put over it. :)

Everytime I see the "CEL" on any of my vehicles I practice my cursing in english and spanish...since I am bilingual.... :)

Not only getting lucky sometimes, but also checking for the smallest details first usually works out over luck more than likely, Jim :nice:
