Another stock battery takes a dump

Battery was dead this morning, so had it checked out, sure enough, got a dead cell. Got a new Optima Yellow top D34/78. Didn't fit with the stock positive terminal, stuck up too far. Had to swap out for a 'regular' terminal, and now all is well for now. Need to dump the Shaker 500 before it kills this one, ha!

Anybody else have an issue with an Optima fitting?

Yes, on several other cars. I finally gave up on Optimas because they are overpriced batteries unless you REALLY need a VRLA AGM battery. For 99% of people who use their cars on the road in a daily commute or weekend show car, the Optima is a waste of money. The other 1% are those that use their vehicles in an extreme application: marine, off-road, high temperature, etc...

Make sure you turn off the Shaker manually before turning off the ignition.

I've been milking this one along for a while. As long as I drive it every day, it's OK, but let it sit for a week and . But I got 3 years out of this POS, so I guess that's a'ight.
