Job duties of the Systems Engineer include providing design and engineering support of an enterprise-wide Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM) environment. The Systems Engineer responsibilities include solutions design, documentation, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of DNS, DHCP, and IP Address infrastructure and project support.

Basic/Required Qualifications:
*Experience in DNS architecture, configuration, administration and maintenance using Internet System Consortium (ISC) Berkley Internet Name Domain (BIND)
*Comprehensive understanding of ISC or Microsoft DHCP architecture and administration
*Working knowledge of TCP/IP including both IPv4 and IPv6 addressing

Preferred Qualifications:
Should be able to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet aggressive task deadlines.
Should have the ability to perform in-depth trouble-shooting, capacity planning, system performance, and application analysis for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
Experience with an IPAM system is a plus.

Desired Skills:
Familiar with TCP/IP network design including switching and routing device functionality.
Ability to develop scripts (e.g. Perl, bash) for automating various tasks and interactions with other systems/software.
Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and ISC BIND DNS integration
Experience with Dynamic DNS, DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC), and/or TSIG
Familiar with implementing Enterprise Class solutions following a System Development Life Cycle methodology or formal Project Management paradigm.
Experience with other IPAM solutions (such as Lucent VitalQIP, Cisco CNR, BlueCat Networks, etc)
Experience with an RDBMS such as Oracle, MySQL, or Sybase
Experience with Java, JavaServer Pages (JSP), and Tomcat

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 10 years of directly related experience.
