Parting out '89 Vert...apologies to Ralph!

Well, my assignment is coming up before much longer and I need to start reducing the 89 5.0 vert parts car to the bare minimum. If you need something along the lines of interior parts, glass, rear seat, suspension, etc, send a PM and I'll let you know if its still there.

Thanks!

Are you parting out any front struts; If so what kind?

KEEP 7/17/08 06:01 PM

If the interior is grey I am interested in the seats...

sorry pal :dunno:

Front struts already sold. I have a set of BBK performance springs (front and rear) and a aftermarket K-member.

Only rear seat available. It is indeed gray.

Ah, no biggie.
That chapter in my life is closing.

Are the springs progressive rate or fixed. Basically, are they light blue or a charcoal color. What do you know about the K-member? Drag race type, or road race? PM me a price on both. Thanks.

LMan 7/18/08 07:09 AM

I think they are charcoal color, but I'll check tonight and make sure. You'll have to school me on the diff b/w a dragrace and a roadrace K-member....

Horsplay 7/18/08 09:20 AM

What kind of rims? I am looking for a set of 10 holes.

Typically, a K-member built for drag racing will lighter then one for road racing. Here are some pics. Notice how much thicker the MM one is compared to the UPR. A drag setup is designed to be as light as possible, and not designed to support the extreme side loading that heavy cornering can cause. A road race setup is built for strength first and the reduced weight is a by product of it being a tubular design. Does that help?

LMan 7/18/08 11:23 AM

Yes. I will post a pic of it (hopefully) tonight.

Puter 7/18/08 02:31 PM

Stock K-member from an 88 5.0 5-speed coupe that was totaled (also mine...).

Springs are charcoal.

There was not much changed out of parts to other-than-stock. My thought was this was a daily driver to go to the beach with, and when it broke down, go to Autozone/whatever and get parts.

Valve covers
MASS AIR - Speed Density harness/computer change
Springs/struts/shocks
Radio
4-point G-load and STB braces
FMS A-arms
R12 - R134A

If something else was replaced, it was stock. Otherwise, it was refreshed/renewed.

Bigred15 7/18/08 05:11 PM

Ahhh...so. The K-member is stock, its the G-load thats not. Interested in that piece then.

LMan 7/21/08 08:04 AM

I pulled the G-load brace and springs yesterday, Ill get pics tonight.

Puter 7/21/08 12:31 PM

BTW, that's a Maximum Motorsports G-load brace for the Fox convertible. Sweet piece.

Redbaron93 7/21/08 01:37 PM

I also would be interested in the G-load brace

What's it got for a stereo? I'm looking for a cheap AM/FM/CD that works.
