Bullitt used offer $$

What would an 2008 Bullitt with 1680 miles and stated to "have never seen the rain", smoke free and garage kept be worth. Kelly Blue Book states as high as $26, 9xx.

Seems really high. Seller is asking $31,500 and states negotiable. I have not seen the vehicle in person yet.

AlsCobra 5/25/12 06:17 PM

Sounds pretty steep. One of those guys that bought it and never enjoyed it for sure. They are my favorite models of that body style though.

houtex 5/25/12 06:55 PM

It is worth whatever you will pay and the seller will take. No more, no less.

If he's asking 4K over KBB, well, you can use that against him. But if he's set in his ways, nothing will work except 31.5K.

In other words, he really doesn't wanna sell it.

But if you offered 27, and he said yes, then that's what it's worth. At the asking price, I doubt he'll come down to the 27K mark, and definitely not lower.

For what it's worth, Nada agrees with KBB. He's asking too much, "by the book", but... he can ask whatever he wants. Do you want it that bad? Pony up.

Green or black?

McQueen 5/25/12 07:05 PM

It's the highland green

Flagstang 5/25/12 07:52 PM

didnt want to sell it in for for sale area?

I would say it doesnt sounds like a way off price if its really in good shape. But what a waste.. never got to enjoy it.

OKLACOP 5/26/12 03:42 AM

What is the car's serialized #?

McQueen 5/26/12 09:21 AM

I do not know the number. I am going to look at it today though.

What kinds of specifics should I be looking for on the car to get more information on it?

Do you think I can take a pic of the vin number and that will be enough?

Don't get ripped off! I have a regular customer who swore he bought a Bullitt, only to find out it is GT.

Juice 5/28/12 08:38 PM

Seems high. There is a 2008 with 1800 miles in our area for $29K on CARS.com. I've had two sepreate dealers give me the same trade value for mine based on a 24K blue book value. Mine has 21,000 miles and in excellent shape. You might want to keep looking if he won't budge. Only big ticket option would be a Nav System.

1 COBRA 5/28/12 10:28 PM

Is it being sold by the original owner? Is it a salvaged title? Any visible body work? How is the interior quality/driver's seat? Are gaps equal on each side between hood and fenders, doors and fender/quarter panels/trunk? How does it look under the car? Is the tire wear even? Any scratches on the wheels other than small rock chips? Is it early or late production? Does the owner appear to be an enthusiast who cares and maintains the car or someone who would frequent the track? Does the owner have the Bullitt brochure and other memorabilia? Visit www.imboc.com and read the owner's posts if he is a member, that would be a good indication of the car's history if you can match the serial number.

If the car is perfect it will command $25 - 26K which is a lot more than the actual trade in value and a good deal for both parties.

Looking at 2009 Bullitt this weekend. Has 28k and they're asking 21k. Highland green. Where do I find the build #.
Thanks.

Saw it today, would be good for somebody that wants one. They have something else coming in I might be interested in.

Seems like a pretty fair price. I got mine for $12,990 but it has 85K miles on it. Still in better condition than my lower mileage GT's were though...plus much more fun to drive.

Krohn 11/1/13 11:36 PM

At $31,500.... There are a lot of things you could get... Tough choice. I'd be looking though at spending a few more for a Track pack '14.

Those Bullitts look sweet though!

I swear that one with 7 miles has been listed on eBay for well over a year, if not closer to two years. I remember seeing it a long time ago before I owned a Mustang and was just looking into the pricing on used Bullitt's. I thought it was a scam when I first saw it, haha.

Javdog 11/3/13 11:14 AM

31K that's too much, a guy at work is selling a 2012 Boss with 9500 miles for 35K much better deal if you ask me.
