TCS Disable ???? URGENT

Urgent help needed.

I just hired a GT-H and would like to disable the TCS.

Sometimes this can be done by removing a fuse...

Anybody know anything. I've got less than 24 hours to get this puppy going sideways like it should.

All help much appreciated.
Thanks
OneF

i never thought it'd be any different than the Mustang GT TCS button in the center console by the cigarette lighter!
clicking that sure lets my GT go sideways and fishtail if i push it.. but then again the GT-H might be different

Yes, it's different. I guess they -sensibly- disabled the disable switch. The TCS switch is still frustratingly there on the dash, which I believe means that when they sell them a way of enabling the switch will be forthcoming.

They must have thought carefully about this and I bet the suits and lawyers had a hand in it too. My guees is that it'll take a flash reprogram to do it.

Speaking of flash, the headlights SUCK on this thing big time.

Thanks for looking and if anybody does find out please let us all know.

Cheers

Less than 11 hours to go .... :(

i've just been through all the service manuals i have for the 05-06 Mustang, and didn't find any relevant info.

even the Fuse Box diagrams don't single out any one fuse that controls the TCS system.. sorry

I had heard the override switch was disabled, my guess is that the wiring plugs are in place behind the dash and are just not plugged into the switch. Have you tried pulling the switch panel and checking behind it? Since these were sent to Shelby's shop as regular GTs and converted there, the wiring harness should be intact. They probably just unplug the switch leads.

Too easy

I can't believe it! Just found out how to disable the TCS having had to return the car a few days ago and it's unbelieveable. The information can be found on a blog, which you can find by doing a search in google of the following: hertzshelbytchon.

What's even sadder is that I noticed that the button didn't feel like it had a switch beneath it. ****! Guess I'll just have to hire another one!
