Anyone Use Wheel Spacers

Just wondering if anyone uses wheel spacers on their stock '07 GT/CS? I just put on new Continental DWS and was thinking of adding spacers for a better looking stance. has anyone had any positive/negative experience with using them? Does it effect handling at all? I was thinking of 1.5 inch spacers? Any input would be greatly appreciated..

I have used 1-inch spacers with the "Fanblade" wheels on my coupe. They do bring the wheels out a bit, and change the roll characteristics of the car to that extent. I'd say they do enhance the appearance of the car, but not so that someone who didn't know what they were looking for would notice.

Some folks think there is reason to avoid spacers: they do put different loads on the hubs, bearings, and associated hardware, but so do wide tires and wheels with other-than-stock offset. I know racers who use spacers without hesitation. I figure well-designed spacers carefully installed are not a big risk.

You can see from the attachment there is still half an inch between the tire and the fender in the rear; in the front it's an even bigger space. If the cost of the bolt-on spacers or the bother of replacing studs with longer ones is worth it to you, I wouldn't hesitate.
