Yup that works, I wanted to see what it would look like with a drop and no spoiler.

My girlfriend gets hers today. She registered on the site last night but I don't think she's posted yet. alloy008 is her name on here. She got a 2008 Alloy V6 5spd. I think we're going to eventually throw a turbo on it. I guess I'll be visiting the V6 section more now.

Today is the big day. I'm going to pick my 08 GT Vert Alloy.
I'm surprised I even did manage to sleep yesterday eventhough at 1:00AM I was going through the Mustang brochure for the 3000th time (I know by heart).
I have my camera with me so I'll post picture this week end.

New member intro, 2007 Alloy Gray GT Premium Coupe.

While I've traditionally been a buyer of blue Mustangs (dark blue 5.0L LX, two different blue Mach 1's, and another blue Fox body), my latest Mustang is Alloy Gray. It also just happens to be the first automatic Mustang I've ever owned (always prefered to row my own gears, but the new 5R55S automatic is great).

My 07 GT Coupe is a Premium model with automatic, spoiler delete, 64E fanblade 18" wheels, charcoal leather, IUP/aluminum, comfort group, etc.

Mild mods so far: 4.10 FRPP gears, 3800 rpm Fuddle Racing Stall Converter, and DiabloSport Tuner (93 Octane Firm Shifting Tune).

I drag race often at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA (formerly known as Seattle International Raceways). On drag radials in this configuration it runs consistent 1.80's to sixty feet, 5.40's to 330 feet, 8.40's at 82 mph in the 1/8 mile, and 13.30's at 102 mph in the 1/4 mile.

Just installed a JLT CAI a few days ago, and changed tunes to match (JLT 93 octane). The track is closed for the winter, plus I'll be adding Steeda UDP's and BBK ceramic shorty headers soon, so it'll be interesting to see if the car will run 12's this spring at the track.

Having owned 6 Mustangs (and 3 Thunderbirds), as well as some brand-X big block V8 classic musclecars, I am an enthusiast first, and Ford dealership employee second. I used to sell new Fords for a couple years, but now work in management at a large volume NW Ford dealership. I'm not here to sell anything, so I'm not posting my dealership's info. I order all of our Mustangs and am happy to answer questions from the dealer's point of view.

By the way, I chose Alloy Gray to blend in to traffic. Replaced the GT emblems with V6 Pony emblems. Swapped the GT grill and foglamps for a V6 Pony grill and lights. No bling on the outside of the car to give away the performance. Even going to keep the factory mufflers to keep it quiet. My secret is safe here, right?

Here's a few pics...

Thanks, and likewise!

Worth noting, I did the pinstripes myself, but the dealership installed the 4.10 gears and 3800 rpm stall converter. Ironic, as most dealerships will do the stripes, but not the powertrain mods.

Congrats! And yeah, another Alloy Gray with the spoiler delete (like mine). Wings? We don't need no stinkin' wings!

As promised, the first photos...
not very good but that's all I have for now.
Sunday I took a little drive on the PCH close to Santa Barbara, it was just pure pleasure. This is my first V8, I only had 4cyl before so you can imagine the difference. But coming from europe I had to experience the real muscle car.

Brian:

Where did you get the hood scoop insert? I'm growing tired of my black plastic insert. Alloys rule!

Don't laugh too hard. Let's just say it's unique as I made it myself from aluminized rain gutter guards that I bought at Lowe's hardware. Cost about $6. After removing the factory black plastic insert, I was able to reuse the factory mounting holes to bolt my own insert into place with no drilling.

While I was at it, I cut out the hood (and insulation) under the scoop and am currently engineering ductwork to get fresh air over to the air filter. If that ductwork turns out cheesy looking, then it's going in the trash, but I think I'm fairly crafty. If nothing else, it blows cool air over the engine during hotlaps at the local race track.
