Your car looks GREAT. I love the wheels,19's really fill the wheelwells, the mirrors,V6 rear spoiler,hood scoop,PBF emblems. IMHO all go very well together. Very nice alloy !

I really like the tint on your taillights. Seems like just the right amount of tint. Looks darker then OEM but the red is still visible. Are those tinted OEM or aftermarket ? Thanks !

All those options looks great on an Alloy. Now I just need to make a decision on mine and install the V6 spoiler that has been sitting in the garage for 18 months.

Thanks everyone, it has been a process and this being the 4th set of wheels for the car I think I have finally found the ones. It is amazing how they changes the look of the car.

Thanks!, Those are OEM tail lights that I got from a guy on e-bay tinted. Gary (2k7gtcs) had his tinted by this guy too. He does 3 levels of tint and I went with the lightest. He also tinted the 3rd brake light and the rear side markers. IMHO they came out good, they match the alloy well and still show enough red to not be unsafe.

There ya go Bob. The answer to all your tail light tinting questions. And Bob don't forget about getting your windows tinted too. :poke:

What tires/sizes are those? The 19" looks really good, bigger than 18" and smaller than 20"... I guess that's the point. :)

Your front turn signals... are those smoked or the clear black housings?

Man that looks good Jim. Those wheels look like they were intended for it, especially on that color.

Here is the guy on E-Bay who did the lights for me. He doesn't always have S197 lights listed but if you contact him he can do your set or sometimes find a set.

i love my rims, but like others said, your rims are really nice. it looks like it was designed to go with our color. did you put in the correct tpms sensors?

i also love those mirrors. i plan on getting them one day. just some other stuff i "need" to get done first.

i love how everything on your ride compliments each other. very tasteful :)

I saw a chop of another alloy (I think Bob's, obofglob) with these rims and knew then they were the only rims I wanted. They still have the 10+ TPMS installed, right now I'm going to live with the light or go with the TPMS pipe bomb solution. Depends on how much the light annoys me.

The mirrors are great but a touch pricey, I only got them because they were a gift for Christmas. They look great compared to the truck looking mirrors the car comes with.

For now, haha I like how it has all come together. Right now the only other mod might be window tint.

Yeah, I think the 19's look perfect on the S197's, 18's seem to be just not enough and the 20's are a tad too much. The tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercars in 255/40-19 & 285/35-19.

They are a chrome housing with a smoked lens. I got them here.

HAHAH nah, The shakers just don't do anything for me.

It looks incredible Jim. You've really done a great job. I don't know how could make a better looking Alloy 2007 GT.

Well, yeah I want to. I would love a 2.5" Cervini cowl hood like what you got or even a stock none scoop hood. I have never been crazy about it but I need to go easy on the funds for awhile. Soooooo I guess it stays for now. I think it looks ok seeing hose the honey comb in it matches the upper & lower grill's.

Did you notice any difference in ride quality? I love the way they look on the 05-09 cars. I was considering them for the SGT before that plan was scrapped.

Yes, well, yes. Ok its tough to say. The old GT500's were pretty smooth and I haven't driven it much with the winter weather. But as I was driving home yesterday on a very bumpy patched up road I did think to myself that it seems to be very smooth, smoother than I ever remembered it being. I was concerned about the lower profile tires being on the larger rims. The 07-09 GT500's had 255/45's & 285/40's, these are 255/40's & 285/35's. Thats usually a recipe for disaster in ride quality but I was pleasantly surprised.

What's on the SVTPP rims? same size?

Fronts are 265/40/19 and rears are 285/35/20. And right now, nobody makes a set of exact size replacement tires for it except the F1 G:2 that are on it. Some have the fronts, but not the rears, others have the rears but not the fronts. That should be fun when it needs tires. :doh: Hopefully more will come out by then because right now I'd probably be looking at $1600-1700 for a set, and the treadwear rating on them is only 200. :fear:

Wow thats a wide front tire. Do you find it to track groves much? Mine seemed to do it with the old rims when I was pulling up to stop lights where the heavy trucks had put deep tracks in the road.

I was just looking at replacement sets for mine on tire rack and matching sets range from $790 to $2200' the OE F1's go for $1200. I'm not going to like having to replace those. This will only get worse too, with the cost of petroleum & natural rubber going through the roof I have seen a 30% increase in tire cost for our shop at work. We are looking at a $35k increase in tire cost this year just due to pricing.

Tread wear on mine are 220, not much better. Guess I going to have lay off the smoky burnouts that have become so easy with the 4.10's :D

I have noticed it "hunting" a couple of times like it wanted to follow certain grooves in the road. And the fact that our state is neglecting our roads while they turn to **** doesn't help matters any. :mad: Where are all of my tax dollars going? :wonder: Oh yeah, I remember now. Thanks! Those look exactly like the ones from AM for less than half the price.

No problem, glad to help. One thing they do recommend is using some clear silicone to seal the lens to the housing so it doesn't fill with water. I didn't do that, but it hasn't been a huge deal. I only see condensation in there after I wash the car in the summer, but if I were to do it again I would seal them.
