Aftermarket Rear Spoiler On a 2007 Shelby GT

Is it possible to get a rear spoiler off of the trunk without damaging the paint?

I'm not really sure how they are secured so I just don't know.

Thanks.

Remove the bolts that hold them on and then use fishing line to cut though the glue and rubber gasket. Clean the area with alcohol.

So in other words there are holes drilled into the trunk lid.......

Here's the thing. The 2007 Shelby GT had no spoilers so I'm assuming you have one that somebody added a spoiler to and you want to return it back to original?

If they drilled holes to install an aftermarket spoiler, then most aftermarket spoilers use the existing holes. Of course a SGT has no holes but they did have a stock trunk lid which had provisions for holes in the underside of the trunk lid. If it's drilled you can tell on the underside as those screw heads a visible. So I guess check that first.
