Would this be too much with an over the top race stripe already on the car?

My suggestion would be to remove the front stripes on your car and just tape the cowl. Leave a little bit of gap between the cowl tape and these GT tape strips. I think that would look sharp.

This is the cowl idea I had in mind. Those GT spears would look good on it.

meh, that was a stripe design I was considering but once I knew the BOSS was for real I scrapped the idea

with the hood spear and the boss sides it reminds me of this guy's, and how I don't like it.
