That is what I am waiting for. I want MyFord, push button start, etc. In less than a couple years we should know what goodies Ford will add to the 2014 redesign.

tough call. They're definitely over the "new features have to wait for new model" mindset and they're definitely going to be pushing MFT hard now that SYNC is so well established. At the same time the trucks, Fusion, Flex, Taurus and Escape are possibly/probably in line ahead of Mustang. Their competition is closer interior/feature-wise than Camaro or Chally are to Mustang. I'd expect them to get priority after Explorer and Focus launch it.

It would either be a neutered version without the side screens or a total redesign of the IP.
The neutered version would have it in the center stack, but no screens to account for on the cluster, and no steering wheel controls different from the current model.
The redesigned version, done right, would be to keep the speedo and tach as analog gauges, then somehow integrate the MFT into the bottom of them, like where the message center is now. That way you still have the nostalgic look, but with a little modern flare. Maybe even increase the diameter of the "gauge pods" an inch or so to accommodate the screens. You'd also have to add the controls on the steering wheel, which would cause it to be a significant redesign from the current one.
I'd guess we'll have to wait til 2014 for the MFT in the Mustang.

I can't see them spending the money to do that in 2012 when they completely redid the interior for 2010. I expect Ford will add this to vehicles only when they are all-new or when they get a mid-life reskin. We already know about the Edge/MKX getting it of course, I expect the next vehicle will be the Explorer which will be all new for 2012. Just like with IRS, the Mustang probably won't get it until the next generation comes out.

Next Gen more than likely.
Can't see them redesigning things like the current stearing wheel, center stack and gauges for 1 or 2 years.
They'd be building the next gen around it.

Gentlemen,
I have heard rumblings of this when I went to the dealer to order a 2011 before I deployed. I was told, "What if they change the interior console to look like the Ford Edge? - Would you want a 2012?"
When I ordered my 2012, I was informed that what I heard just might be true.
I hope so. I would hate to be toyed with.
Ordered:
2012 Mustang GT, Brembo, 3.73, HID, Electronics, Security Package (with backup sensors), Back up Camera, Glass roof, Red with red/cashmere interior.

Sorry to disappoint, but the order guide would have clearly mentioned that in the changes, and right now, the printed order guide shows nothing of the sort. I don't see it being added until '13 at the earliest, if they do a refresh, or '15 when the whole car gets overhauled. With the body change in '10 and powertrain overhaul in '11, '12 cars won't get much added to them (as we've seen).
