What is MDA Assessment?

Looking at an invoice and noticed it had a MDA Assessment in addition to the FDAF Assessment. It is not on any of the invoices I have seen. What is this MDA Assessment for?

Another website's response was that MDA is a minority dealers association. In doing some checking Ford and GM both have a minority dealer assistance programs. It appears that MDA is short for: Ford Motor Minority Dealers Association per the website FMMDA.

From the FMMDA website: "By FMMDA’s intense negotiations with Ford Motor Company, FMMDA has established an Invoice Program that has reduced FMMDA’s Ford Lincoln Mercury member dues by $3,500 per year. This method does not cost the dealership to be a FMMDA member anymore."

So it appears that if you buy a car from a minority owned dealer that is a member of FMMDA you have an extra fee charged to the invoice price of your car. This fee is $15.00
