Picked mine up from getting detailed.
Some @-hole spilled white paint in the back of his truck and leaked it all across & down the road taking a left out of a gas station. It was just over the crest of a hill and must of recently happened, just before I came rolling thru to start a nine day vacation. I had even got off work a few hours early!!
They were able to get all the paint off the body but not the rocker panels or the rear fascia. They said that anything they used on it to remove the paint would made fade. Any way, they got the paint off, cleaned it good, waxed it, painted inside the wheel wells and detailed it inside & out for $100.00
I also dropped by & ordered new oem rocker panels and the fascia for the GT-500 from the dealer I bought the car from. I was going to replace it with the same base rear fascia but the GT-500 one was $30.00 less. Go figure.
Parts are coming in Wednesday, so I guess I know what I'll be doing the last few days of what was supposed to be a relaxing staycation.

Finally pulled the factory's protective plastic cover off the (non-nav) radio display, and replaced it with an iPad plastic protection piece ($4.99 from 5-Below). I am not very crafty and was unsure how to go about it, so I created a little mock-up piece from laminated paper, and took it out to the car, trimming it until it fit.
Then on the table-top I cut the plastic membrane to match the mock-up. Following the instructions on the package, I installed it. It doesn't look 1000% perfect, but there are no bubbles and scratches on the virginal radio cover at least. And I have a big enough plastic sheet left to have a do-over or two....

Yes, a three times a week meet. Races *cough Cough*.
Her exhausts were definitley dripping. She loves to win and does very often. The red one is a CS 5.0 Auto w/tune and nitrous! The Blue one is a shelby GT w/tune and cams, going into Brenspeed for a turbo. My 5.0 is faster then all of them unless that 5.0 auto usese spray LOL.

Installed my made-in-the-USA MRT adjustable tilt headrests this morning. Took maybe 20 seconds each.
WOW, it's great to finally be comfortable driving my car! I've wanted these since buying my 2011 'vert a year ago.
The tilt mechanisms ratchet and positively lock in any one of 4 positions (position #3 is about equal to stock, so you can REALLY crick your neck if you want to). The leather and grabber blue stitching match perfectly, although they're a teeny bit bigger and less sexily-shaped, and weigh maybe a pound or 2 more each.
The only negative is the support posts were very raw looking, not nice and chromed like the OEM posts. Maybe it's possible to steel wool 'em and polish them, but they should have looked better than this. That's about all I can find wrong with them.
Will take pics and and post later, maybe in a different thread.

So, what did i do today........oh yeah, i had Gus from Steeda send me their new " less agressive " 93 octane tune so i could sleep better tonight.
With all this talk about tunes and the #8 piston failure, i was starting to loose some sleep.
