What did you do to your Mustang today?

I hand made a shifter boot from the left over vinyl, as the original Ford one was ripped from use (!), and today I finally got it fit and put on. I reused the old rubber ring for the top retainer, and the bottom trim plastic piece. I used Gorilla Tape on the bottom so that I can take this thing off and put Javier's on when he sends it to me.
No rush, btw, Javier! I am just kinda proud of myself, even if it's way not perfect... at least I ain't got a hole in the console no more. Yours'll be well worth the wait.

Installed my Airaid CAI!
Much easier than I thought it would be, with one exception - the "blind grommet" that needs to be installed for 6sp trannies was a HUGE pain in the ***.
I swear that took the most time - trying to get the stupid grommet to fit properly!

jury's still out. noise vibration and harshness (NVH) more prominent.
gates are definitely shorter, but a little too tight and I need to give it time to break in. worked through the added vibration to the handle with some rubber dampening to the upper stick and am working on sound deadening the tunnel/hump. It will likely be ok though and just have to give it some time to break in.

Last Friday was a fantastic day, so I drove her up into the hills, past Mt. Rushmore and through the pig tails, no traffic, no tourists, and no wife
Today, I washed her, and then hand waxed her. Polished the wheels, treated the tires and then did the leather. Tonight we have storm warnings with rain predicted for the next two days. So, no driving for a few days.
