Really depends on what you are looking for exactly. My plan is to get the Oracle projector retro kits. They get put into the regular housing and don't cause the stray beams that the non projector type do when put in a halogen housing. Here is the site http://www.oraclelights.com/ pg 53 of their online catalog. I'm not sure on the pricing yet, but I think Chrissy said she paid 250 for the headlights and 200 for fogs.

OEM projectors which is an option when you order your car. Unless your planning on doing a retro-fit which is quite a bit of work and not cheap anyways.

Just order them from factory

Yes factory is a good set, but in my case I didn't want to go with the factory security setup and I like the way the regular housings have the turn signals towards the center of the car.

HID's don't belong in halogen housings.

End of story.

Lewis we went over this before, projector retrofits work fine in the original housing. No need to rehash the argument here.

yeah but the HID housings are hideous (IMO)

35 watt 4300K~6000K setups are fine. It's the 55 watt kits that will produce glare and **** off oncoming traffic.

Edit: These are going in my car as soon as it shows up.

You're missing my point. A retrofit does not meet my definition of a halogen housing. When a projector is added, it becomes a proper HID set up.

When I say halogen housings, I mean plug and play kits don't belong in stock halogen housings.

Ok, I'll agree with that.

I have never seen HIDs in the Mustang Halogen housings but the halogen housing have a much more pronounced cutoff than other headlights. I may try HID but I can't stand the HID (terminator look)factory housings in the retro front.

Lol, yes it does, who are you kidding??

It's not the wattage that produces the glare, it's the reflectors in the halogen housing.

If you can't afford projectors or are to lazy to do them... DON'T do anything at all.

HID police in effect

Do what you want but be prepared that your retrofitted HIDs in halogen housings might really **** off other drivers.

I've got HID's in 3 cars and for the last 6 years I've been using them have yet to have anyone flash their lights. I'm not lazy or cheap when it comes to my decision to put them in the mustang. I simply do not like the way projector lenses look on the mustang (whether they're the oem ford housings or retrofit lenses)

And that's pretty much that. And unless you plan on driving down to alabama anytime soon, you won't have to worry about seeing me in on coming traffic

Arrow Xetronics

I installed a pair of Xetronics HID kits in my last car (Acura NSX). After research I felt this brand was the best you could buy. On that particular car the oem lenses worked perfectly with good cutoffs, etc. It was important to get them correctly aimed once the HIDs were installed. I was COMPLETELY satisfied with them.

My newly-acquired 2010 Mustang has factory HIDs.

Do a proper retrofit... please... It's doable and can be cheaper (NOT time-wise) than the factory option...

No, I'm not a man of the church who gives sermons and homilies.

I've been blinded by far too many HID plug and play kits to let it slide.

I've also had a friend have a head on collision blamed on him due to improper lighting, and the court ruled against him. Leaving him and his insurance company to pay for the mess.
