What audio track is a must have for a new ride?
Just wondering if anyone else has to come up with the perfect mix for when you can actually get behind the wheel and enjoy the new ride. (Maybe not when you're coming home from the dealer - but later on...)
It's probably something that gives you a high energy or cruising feel, or something that lets you show off the new sound system.
I've come up with a few tracks that I want - including "How it Starts" from The Features (used in the 2013 Mustang commercial).
Another would be a remix of an old Marlena Shaw track - "California Soul (Diplo / Mad Decent Remix)". This starts out with muted bass and then swings into a range of frequencies.
For some reason, when I put a playlist in my car - it's not always my personal favorite music - it's usually something different and unique I know my passengers may not be familiar with, but they'll wind up enjoying as they ride with me.

I have thought about what song I'd listen to in the car first. No brilliant epiphanies yet. Fuel from Metallica is too obvious. My wife thinks I'm nuts. She's probably right.

Kickstart My Heart by Mötley Crüe, I was born in 80 and not much into "butt rock" but something about that opening riff just gets me laying down the pedal from zero to sixty in no time flat.... Never was into listening to that song nor the Crüe until I started blasting that track in the S197.

Mine is Unison by Porter Robinson. It's that song from that Red Tails movie. Never heard of Porter Robinson and never saw Red Tails, but the "jet" sound effects in the track sound more like racing effects and there's a couple points in it that scream: countdown, launch. Listen to it and you'll see what I mean, but good luck keeping your foot outta WOT. lol

Highway Star - Deep Purple
Stacked Actors - Foo Fighters...... This got me 2 speeding tickets.
Radar Love - Golden Earring
Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult.....This was playing when I test drove my car and it's really nice when traveling above 140 MPH.
