This is my second ordered Stang, my '05 didn't take this long (new engine & body).
Same thing happened with the new Camaro. The early cars were caught up in QC for months. People who ordered cars on Day One in October '09 were stuck in limbo with no feedback from GM (Just like Ford is doing to early orders now) while people who ordered cars in February or March were being delivered in under 4 weeks. Shameful.

Trane, this is a common expression used in the military. Hope I didn't offend you.

Well, you have to realize people ordering in January were setting themselves up for a longer wait no matter what day their car was actually built. The line didn't start running until (correct me if I'm wrong) March 15 or thereabouts. That was for Dealer Stock. Retail Orders weren't released until the OK to ship was given, which I think was late April. January to late April = 4 months (Inclusive) = 120 days. Yea, they had to go in knowing they'd wait a while.

I totally agree with you, but could you explain why it has been sitting somewhere for 5 weeks?

Yup. I knew it would be at least until late April before I knew anything about my car. Just wanted to get the order in as soon as I could.

It was apparently on a rail car in Ohio on Friday, so hopefully I'll be getting some more details today.

After waiting several months, yesterday I finally went online and checked dealer 2011 inventory within about 200 miles of my home. I found several Race Red GT Premium convertibles, even one with Brick Red interior as I have ordered. But none close enough to exactly what I ordered to make me go and get it......oh well.....

Well, not everything. Just the banking crisis, the freefall in economic growth, child healthcare (S-CHIP), adult healthcare, gender pay inequity (Ledbetter Fair Pay act), student loan debt, and Wall Street graft.

Still working on the Mideast . . .

Which inspires us all to do less so we can get free everything too.

I don't want to go political on this forum. I'll just respectfully agree to disagree.
