Roush TVS Blower?
So I keep seeing these videos of dealer installed Roush TVS's on GT/CS's, GT's, etc and they all "say" they're still under warranty. I assume that is because it was installed at a Roush certified dealer? I called Roush directly and talked to a guy who said that "It voids the Ford Factory Powertrain warranty" but they offer a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty to replace the powertrain warranty. I'm just curious how accurate is this? And if it's true then why do Dealers keep installing them on new Mustangs and selling them with the 5yr/60,000 mile warranty?
I may have to call Ford directly on this to figure out but if anyone can chime in who may know that'd be great.

A dealer who installs a Roush blower that isn't a Roush authorized installer, voids the powertrain warranty. Now, they may do their own warranty but the factory powertrain warranty is void.
If you want the warranty get a Roush dealer to do the install, of course this also means you get the conservative Roush tune and if you change that then the warranty is voided.
This also holds true for Magnacharger or anyone else offering a warranty for their supercharged motor, change the tune, lose the warranty.

The November 2013 issue of CAR and Driver, page 110, addresses the warranty of the Roush Stage 3 and states it is 3/36. The article did not seem to be very helpful for the Stage 3 Roush, almost as if Car and Driver were questioning the horsepower ratings and the value of the package. Interesting read.

My bone stock GT ran as quick as the RS3 they tested.

I'll also throw in the fact that by default Roush offers the 3 / 36 warranty on there parts only on there Stage 1 through 3 kits they only offer the power train warranty on there stage 1 kit and like stated in prior threads, that's retroactive to the day the vehicle was driven off the lot & must be installed by a authorized installer & must use the Roush tune, it also cost $300 + dollars extra (you order the drive train warranty from Roush online).
I don't think anybody offers a power train warranty without a extra cost

From what you guys said, then I was correct. I don't want to really void my warranty. Might just wait 2 years and then do it. I don't know yet.
I might go Magnuson, but I haven't done any research on them. And how do they keep the powertrain warranty for 5 years without a Ford/Roush tune?? That seems like the offered warranty would be null and void once you start it up? Maybe I'm missing something.

I'm wanting around 500whp but keep my warranty without the sticker price of the RS3. I got an insane deal on the RS2 I purchased. Maybe that won't be possible and keep the warranty. I just don't understand why Roush won't warranty it for 5 years with THEIR stock RS3 tune. Seems dumb.

I believe magnuson charges 475. Should be on their site?
5 yr magnuson warranty is if you keep their magnuson tune. And again, this is for powertrain, not just magnuson parts.
I think roush phase 3 is 3 yrs on their parts only. Again, part of why I went magnuson.

Yeah, the Car and Driver article doesn't seem to make much sense...they did a test of the 2010 Roush with 540 HP and achieved 12.4 in the 1/4 mile, but with 35 horses more they were a 1/2 second slower at 12.9...sounds like driver error

I think I'll just stick to looking into the Roush TVS's. Plus they look stock because they are. IMO the Magnusons aren't as pleasant on the eyes.

"Standard 3-year/36,000 mile Warranty on the supercharger hardware.
Standard 1-year Limited Warranty on electronics.
Optional 3-year/36,000 mile or 5-year/60,000 mile Powertrain Warranty (additional cost)"

On Magnuson's site it just states "Covering up to $5,000 on the motor or $1,500 on the transmission" meaning it won't cover if you need a whole new motor/trans.... Something to think about. As for your comment on the warranty, it's better than roushs. Period. Even if they don't cover the whole motor. Roush doesn't offer that for phase 3

Aesthetics are a matter of opinion. And mine is probably biased since I have one lol. But the powder coated blue mixed with the valve covers and kona paint is amazing in person.

On warranties, I disagree. $5,000 coverage < Full warranty coverage, be it 3 yr or 5 yr. But eh. To me $5,000 coverage on motor isn't enough for a loss in power even with a 2 yr loss on warranty. 575hp is still 35 more ponies than what the Magnuson is advertised as. They say 120hp increase. Roush Phase 1(575) is 155hp bump. Just my opinion.
I agree. The RS3( Stage 3 Roush) is a supercharged 5.0L that come in the following "Phases".
Phase 1: 575hp
Phase 2: 625hp(If I recall correctly)
Phase 3: 675.
