Rough idle at startup

My 2012 gt recently started having a rough idle for about the first 20 seconds or so of a cold start but then clears right up. Sounds like it has a huge cam. Anyone else experienced this?

Never heard of that, have you tried leaving the key forward for a few seconds before starting? To ensure fuel pressure.

I do this for the 'first start' of the day. Turn the key to the 'on' position for around 5 seconds, before turned to 'crank' position.

Might need to clean your throttle body. Very easy to do yourself. Lots of youtube videos showing how.

Be sure to use 'throttle body' cleaner sold at most auto parts stores.

I've never had to do this on any car I've ever owned or driven in my entire life. I'm pretty sure there is a deeper problem here.

Did you ever find out the problem? My car has been doing this for about the past week and have g figured it out yet, thought maybe it was the tune but I took it off and it started fine over the weekend, until this morning

It seems to be the Brenspeed tune. I switched back to the BAMA tune and it stopped.

This is common for a Coyote, it's the TIVCT getting it's **** together.

What is TIVCT and why does mine do it on one tune but not another?

I did not suspect the tune to be the issue because the rough ideal started weeks after installing the tune.

Yeah but how often and how many miles did you put on the car? In the last 3 weeks due to this horrible weather, I've only driven my car like 3 times.

Your best option would have been to contact the tuner. Since its tuned they would have been able to look at a data log and make corrections.

Do you know if your tune came with the Ghost cam tune? Cause that could be it.

I already had to deal with Brenspeed and their poor customer service when I initially got the tune. Didn't want to go down that road again. I just purchased a John Lund tune which I haven't received yet to go with gear and cat delete I just did. This one will have a ghost can tune. The Brenspeed did not.
