Ride Height

I like everything about the new 5.0 with one exception - I can not deal with the ride height. I am looking at the 19" wheels on the Brembo package but there is still a pronounced wheel wheel showing through. How difficult is it to replace the rear springs and front coil overs? Can I use Ford Racing parts and not have it effect my warranty? Assume it will help slightly in the handling department.

You should be able to get dealer installed parts (the frpp suspension package). You'll lower the car and keep your warranty...

Why worry about warranty. They cant say your new springs or dampers were the cause of an engine failure or tranny failure. A small drop of 1 inch or so (which the Frpp springs should do) will fit the 5.0 fender wells nicely IMO.

Springs

Thanks for the video link - looks fairly straight forward. One inch lower should help. As for the warranty, you would not believe the linkages a dealer will make between unrelated parts to get out of a warranty claim on a "modified" car.

My dealer was a real jerk***, and wouldn't touch anything close to anything modified. He's doing the right thing.

I heard the 2011 GT's come with Bilstein shocks/struts standard. Can anyone confirm this? If so, we should just be able to change the springs out without having to worry about the rest of the suspension. Besides an adj. panhard bar.
