Radio Screen Completely Blank
Radio Screen Completely Blank
I recently bought a 2010 Mustang GT, but the radio doesn't have any display at all. All radio buttons, AC, and everything else works, just the screen of the radio doesn't turn. I bought the car knowing this was a problem so warranties/returning is not available. I'm just unsure of how to fix this issue.
I found a post from 2019 with a similiar issue, but it seems there's no concrete fix. ( https://themustangsource.com/forums/...010-gt-547015/ )
If anyone knows what I can do to fix this please tell me. All help is appreciated! Thank you

If the display is the same as in that other thread... You'll have to take apart the console to get to that part. It may be only a loose connector, or a problem with another module it connects to, but I am leaning towards the display is just toast. If so, the only fix is to replace the display with a new/known good used one. You might try a salvage yard, ebay, or get the part new, if available. You might want to get one that you know is good just to test that the wiring connections aren't bad in the first place.

That's an example. They're the same from 10-12 for the non-nav systems. It just plugs in and is screwed on to the console. That one's a nice example because the pigtail comes with it, and that might be handy for pins or the connector itself.
To get to the thing, here's a nifty video I found. No sound, but exactly how you'd do it in your car.
Hope that helps, and welcome to the forums!
