Performance Package 2011 V6??

Greetings all, trying to see if anyone has updated info on the availability of the optional performance package for the V6? I've seen it mentioned in the Mustang catalog in motor trend, etc. Called Ford and a few dealers but everyone didn't know or were not talking.
Anyone know how $$$ and when it will be available on the V6 base or premium?

thanks

It will be available for Job 2, production begins Aug. 16th. You should be able to order a few weeks ahead of that date.

Yeah, they haven't started making them yet, but they will soon.

The V6 package includes this:

V6 PERFORMANCE PACKAGE (67B)
— Includes:
○ Strut tower brace
○ Upsized front sway bar and SVT rear sway bar
○ Unique front springs
○ Unique front and rear calipers with Performance
Friction pads
○ 19"x8.5" Black Painted / Machined Aluminum Wheels
○ 255/40R19 Summer-only tires
○ Unique stability control calibration
○ Gloss black side mirror caps
○ 3.31 rear axle
— Availability:
○ Not Available with optional wheels, Pony Package
(202A), Convertible or Automatic Transmission

Don't know the cost yet. I think Job 2 starts in August if I recall correctly.

**** if you could score it for say $1800 that is the steal of the century considering you can get it on a base car and the wheel/tire upgrade alone would cost that much or more by its self

It's a pretty good deal, I wonder what the fuel economy hit will be?

Also the best braking performance of any Mustang, has been tested as low as 103 feet 60-to-0.

Chalk up the braking performance to the sticky tires.

What's Job #2 exactly? or what job #2 in this case would be?

- 2012 Model or the 2nd version of the 2011?

Production takes a two week break. All production so far is part of Job #1. Job #2 will add the hideous gold color, as well as the V6 Performance Package. Job #2 begins August 16th, so the order bank should opening in a week or two (or is it open now?).

No hideous gold color for Job 2, a hideous yellow color though.

Edmunds.com has pricing up on their site now, Ford still doesn't.

And there is a clarification on th V6 Perf. Pack, two different prices for the option.

If you get it as a stand-alone option it is $1995 MSRP and $1736 cost, if you get the MCA package and the perf. pack, then the MSRP is $1495 and cost is $1301 plus the cost of the MCA package.

No, a straight up GT suspension wouldn't suit the V6 car. If you look at that list of upgrades though, you get all the good parts, the only negative comments I have seen from the magazines is that thy don't use the stiffer GT struts and shocks.
