I already use the fog light openings for brake cooling and it improved the brake power in combination with the Hawk Performance Pads. But i built it by my own, that was about 50 $ for the material. So i can spend more money in gas.
Next step is changing the brake fluid. I had problems with it after several brakings on the start/finish of the Nuerburgring GP-Course, where you ´ve to brake from 140 mph down to 35 mph ( is like throwing an anchor ).
It really got too hot and fading was the result. I was about to **** bricks realizing the 180° turn coming closer and closer with less braking power

for daily driving and some trackuse these springs are fine and good enough, especially in combination with the D-Specs. They ´re doing a good job, but it was a longer way to find a good setup for every situation.
While daily driving i set them on 3 1/2 turns (F-->S) front and rear. That is still quite comfortable. For the bumpy northloop i chose a setup of 1 3/4 front and 2 1/4 rear (i took me several rounds to find a good adjustment
).
At Hockenheim you can walk on the firm side with 1 at front and 1 1/4 at the rear. But with other springs you´ll need other seetings.
If you´ll use the car on track exclusively or for real road-racing, i would go with some springs with fixed spring rates chosen by experts or better with something like KW competition suspensions. That is nothing for off the rack springs.
That´s my opinion.

Have you considered the brakes from the GT500? The 4 piston Brembo caliper with a set of track pads which comes with 14" rotors along with your cooling ducts should help considerably. Topping things off with a fresh fluid change....DOT 4 or 5 from ATE will even perform as good as a MovIt Brake kit (not quite). Well anyhow certainly cheaper than the Movit kit.

Now I´m waiting for a adaptor a friend of mine is preparing for me (the black ones in the picture below) so that i can connect the hose directly. In the moment the hose is fixed at the shocks. BTW, what is the right name for the item (adaptor) ??? I can´t find a translation for it
Next week we´ll change the brake fluid to ate blue racing. That should be fine. Does anyone know if the brake hose kit at the Brembo Package is made of steel???

Sorry I forgot to even check if your pony has the Brembos. I just ordered a Brembo kit for my 2011 mustang. The part you are referring to is the dust shield. In the picture it is a modified shield which replaces the stock dust shield and properly adapts the hoses for cooling. Good looking product!!

Sorry, what I was pointing out (poorly) is that its perfectly acceptable and safe to run quality spacers, even in a high stress application (racing). I've read many threads on various Mustang forums of people hating on the idea of spacers, stating that they are unsafe etc... etc... Gorgeous car though, congrats on it, enjoy, and please continue to post pics of it on the track... they look great!

i know that stories, but i´ve never seen someone with probs with spacers on track. And as i mentioned a few posts above i guess that 20mm is the limit, ´cause of additional stress for wheel bearings.
There are some guys running spacers here @ the Ring with no problems so far. They all use the stock rims for semi-slick tires which is a cheap way for a track-set of wheels.

Es ist sehr interesant das so viele Deutsche auf diesen board sind. Ich bin halb Armee und wir haben eine Wohnung in Bad Kissingen. Ich habe in die Americanische Schuelen gegangen so meine Deutsche is nicht so gut wie ich wuenchte aber ich bin sehr eifersuechtig das sie am Autobahn fahren kann. Macht spas und bleib sicher.

Update for my stang:
I ordered the SCT Xcal @ Schropp-Tuning (http://www.schropp-fahrzeugtechnik.de/so ) so that i can get rid of that **** governor. Hope it will arrive tomorow.
Maybe there ´re also some extra hp, that will be activated.
