Just sayin. And really if not, you're gonna miss 10hp? I guarentee you wouldn't even notice if you had it or didn't up top. Buy an exhaust and stop eating Dunkin's.... :) |

Wow, we have come a long way since the 88hp 2.3L 4 banger as the base engine!
This is going to be a hard one to pass up being that there is no longer the "either/or" concerning practicality and performance. I can't wait to see the jaws drop over in the Camaro camp when these things start getting reviewed, and we find out what they can actually do. 400HP Mustang GT @ 3600 lbs: 9.00 lbs/hp I think the GT will weigh around there. 6 speed trannies are not light. Looks to be an even match. Camaro's are a hell of a lot easier to launch too thanks to launch control. Haven't heard if Ford is adding this. |

Borrowing from the Mustang GT, the Performance Package includes numerous suspension, braking and body stiffening upgrades to deliver unparalleled handling performance. That road-holding is helped by a near-equal front/rear weight distribution, providing exceptional transient response along with the car’s slimmed-down curb weight of less than 3,500 pounds....... |
I wanted to see what kind of reaction the guys over on Camaro 5 had and it was strangely quite over there.

Look at the 04 GTO to the 05. 350HP 5.7L to 400HP 6.0L. Ford's jump is even more. 04 GTO's had a huge resale loss as will 2010 GT's and sixxers. I think we are going to see ADM's on these cars. When the 05 GT came out $5k ADM's were common.
JK!:) All the GTOs lost resale value. Just like any other car that doesn't sell well. Pontiac had to give them away and they were still sitting on lots in 2007! I remember being able to lease one for $155 a month! ADMs are due to supply and demand. What are you going to do when the GT500 goes to 600 hp? Its called progress and it happens to all vehicles. |

You lost all credibility when you mentioned the Holden Manaro, I mean Grand Am, er no, the GTO I mean.

What am I going to do? Nothing. If I want 600HP it's cake to get. That's the beauty of any GT500. Retarded power is simple and cheap on these cars. Do you think an 07-09 owner cares about the 10's 40HP/30TQ addition? Not really, they just add a CAI and tune.

Wow.
Sounds great. I would like to give a very, very big thank you to GM for making the Camaro to push Ford to make the Mustang it should. |
Wow, this makes me kind of want a v6 stang!
But seeing as how impressive just a v6 is, i wonder how the GT models will turn out. Camaro destroyers for sure! |

It's nice that some 2011 MY info is slowly surfacing, but I'm looking forward to some news on the 5.0 and the aluminum 5.4...

December 2nd for the GT, right? How about the GT500? Any idea when we're supposed to hear anything about that? |

Well, goooollleeeeee Andy... I hadn't herd this much bick'rin over engine vs MY releases since them thar SN95's came out and folks had to wait a coon's age (TWO whole yeers) for the upgrayded engine!
Oh wait... no, there wasn't this level of bickering, so why is there now? :bs: I'd hate to think that any 'hardcore' Mustang enthusiast bought a 2010 GT for the power alone, completely unaware of what was in store for 2011. That's not to say anything negative about anyone who buys the '10 GT; heck I had one on order just because I didn't want to wait for the '11 and had to have something immediately. Plus when people buy Fords, my stock value goes up! So by all means, go out and buy the 2010, both in GT and V6 trim. LOL I'm just saying, for all the info that's been circulating, and for how long that info has been available, nobody should feel like they were duped into buying a 2010 Mustang. |

I bought my '10 GT in mid October knowing full well what was coming up. Would it have been nice if these engines were in there from the start? Yes. But I doubt they were holding em back just to piss people off. If they weren't ready, they weren't ready. The info was all over the place on the '11's. I'm just glad they didn't delay the '10's for the engines. Otherwise, I would've never wound up with a new Mustang likely, since I needed a car at a certain time(lease) and wouldn't have bought one in the old body style. BTW this is the second time this has happend to me. My first Mustang was a '95 GT. Not much a performance gain back then though |
Wow sounds cool and just when i planed on keeping the 2008 forever lol well i still have the 65 and 67 whats one more mustang :nice:
