My GT spent 20 days at the dealer for this issue. I picked it up today and within 2 miles of driving I noticed the shifter now violently shakes in 3rd gear on deceleration. They tried to tell me to let the parts break in and come back in a week I'm not talking about a little vibration, it feels like something is repeatedly hitting the shifter very quickly. I'm bringing it back to the dealer tomorrow morning.

If I were you, I'd head on over to a different dealer tomorrow. I repeatedly took my wifes Expedition in for a vibration, was told over and over it was a "common characteristic of the vehicle", which I knew was BS... I took it to another dealer and they replaced the rearend....no more vibration. 20 days is way too long....

a few years ago i had an issue that wasn't being fixed. even after 10+ visits and leaving the truck for a total of about 30 days, contacted the better business bureau and filed a lemon complaint, you would be suprised how quickly the regional factory rep got involved, problem was fixed with one visit, they replaced the complete drive train engine, trans transfer case front and rear end !.

I had a 2010 jeep wrangler for like 6 months I had it in the shop prob 4 of those months for axel transmission an the door rattled open unfortunately I got nowhere except I got plenty of headaches needless to say I had to trade it in and I got my 2011 mustang but since I owed on the jeep my mustang is going to end up costing me a small fortune lemon law is 3 times for the same problem or a certain amount of days I think it's like 21 days or something but hopefully the problem gets resolved and you don't have to resort to that good luck

Yeah going through the better business bureau is a good way to get what you want if then are repeatedly giving you BS about the problem. My mom had a 08 Saturn Outlook and the sunroof kept leaking in the car. She took it to them 7 times and they kept saying the drains were clogged and not to park it under a tree. (she never parked under a tree anyways) So eventually she called the BBB and within 24 hours she got a call from a GM rep and he forced the dealership to replace the entire sunroof within the next week or so.
So if they don't fix it this next time, BBB would probably be your best bet. We pay too much for these cars to get pushed around and argued with when theres a legit problem.

Unbelievable. The dealer said "Ford Engineering" told them I need to drive the car a couple thousand miles then re-evaluate the condition. WTF? Cars straight out of the factory with zero miles don't have this issue.

The lemon law isn't as easy a's people think I had so much bullcrap happen with my car but I wasn't able to lemon it because they would have me pick it up like a day before I was able to lemon it then it would go right back it sucks

My car has 3000 miles and I'm on:
2nd transmission
2nd clutch slave cylinder
2nd pilot bearing
3rd clutch assembly
3rd flywheel
3rd fluid change as per Ford Powertrain Engineering
After 100 miles, grinding again on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts, difficult to get into 1st when stopped, difficulty shifting from 6-5, and non-progressive clutch engagement.
There are over 900 posts from owners with the same problems at allfordmustangs.com and multiple safety reports to the NHTSA website. Land Rover Defender2 and Ford Transit Panel van owners overseas with the MT82 are also reporting the same issues.
At Ford's request, I'm bringing the car to, yet, another dealer tomorrow morning (7th time). If they can't fix it this time, I'm going to ask for a refund. I'd like to just ask for another car but there are owners with mid January 2011 builds reporting grinding at 300 miles so getting another 2011 may not solve anything. I'm so sad over this as the other aspects of the car are stellar.
