My 100K Coyote with some service history

Just rolled over 100K miles last night, thought I might share a few details of my experience. I traded in a 2005 Legend Lime V6 with 200K miles for my used 2012 Red Candy GT with ~16K miles. All in all the GT has been very reliable. She has a few rattles that I will hunt down and fix, but is still in great shape with everything working.

Brief service & mod history:
Nov '12 17K miles full synthetic oil change Pennzoil + Motorcraft filter. Clear bra on the front bumper/hood/fenders.
Feb '13 22K miles new front brake pads. Had a bad squeal, this cured it.
Apr '13 26K miles full synthetic oil change Pennzoil + Purolator filter. Amsoil synthetic ATF in transmission, Steeda shifter and shift bracket. JLT passenger side oil separator.
Aug '13 35K miles full synthetic oil change Pennzoil + Motorcraft. Put on Steeda CAI and Steeda 93 octane tune.
Dec '13 44K miles full synthetic oil change Amsoil 0/30 + Amsoil filter
Feb '14 47K miles new TSW wheels and Cooper RSA Tires
Mar '14 49K miles replaced rear shocks with Koni orange, right rear factory was leaking oil
Jun '14 55K miles changed rear diff fluid to Amsoil, added Ford Racing diff cover. Axle was leaking, there is a TSB, I just fixed it myself and did an upgrade in the process. Changed Amsoil ATF in the tranny with fresh fluid
Aug '14 58K miles full synthetic oil change 0/30 Amsoil + Amsoil filter. Yep, ran the previous Amsoil 14K miles.
Fall '14 swapped in a BMR rear stabilizer bar with poly bushings, the factory one made a ton of noise and I did not want another one even with warranty. Silent ever since, and serviceable
May '15 77K miles full synthetic oil change Mobil Ext Life 5/20 and Motorcraft filter. Yep, ran the previous Amsoil 19K miles
July '15 swapped to Boss 302 rear valance when a stoned kid in CO lightly rear ended my car. He paid me cash, all was good.
Aug '15 brake fluid drain fill "ranger method" suck out what you can with giant syringe and refill. Plain old Prestone DOT3 from Walmart
Oct '15 swapped to VIS carbon fiber hood, GT500 rear spoiler. Had the bubbling paint issue, didn't want to ever deal with it again, bit the bullet and bought a new hood. Black 5.0 emblems, Boss strut brace replaced the factory piece. I like being able to remove the engine cover when I want, and the extra height of the Boss brace allows this.
Dec '15 90K miles Mobil 1 Ext Life 5/20 + Motorcraft filter

I'm due to change the oil, and will also tackle the spark plugs soon as well as starting a drain/fill routine on the antifreeze. Need to switch to Koni struts ASAP.

I have some intermittent issues with the left speaker stopping working. If I crank the volume then it comes back and no issues for months. Not sure what's going on there. Early on I had replaced the stock speakers with some Pioneers and correct harnesses...really don't think that is the problem as they were flawless for over a year before this gremlin hit.

Original battery. I run Michelin Xice in the winter on the original 19" rims from about mid Dec to mid Mar. I'm sure there are some other things I'm forgetting lol.

I'm about 6 years away from retirement and plan to drive this car at least till then...of course if no accidents etc. At that time I'd be sitting at about 260K miles, we'll see. Then, we buy something really special in the Mustang family, and drive off into the sunset.

Wow, it's good to see you made it to 100k on the Coyote. I plan to keep my 14GT as long as it doesn't have any major issues.. Just regular maintenance and the normal wear and tear parts is all I hope to deal with.

Do you have or have you ever had the engine tick noise? Mine has it, and I'm wondering how long the engine will last with it.

No tick that I have ever noticed, even when idling in the garage.

Oh, edited my original post...forgot that I added a JLT passenger side oil separator early on. I have had no issues as some report, and it seems to catch a good deal of oil. Wish I had kept the "drainings" all in one bottle since day one...feels like it would be a quart by now.

Good write up and it's obvious that you got one of the good ones. 100K without
a wench on it.

I'm at 48K, no problems. Oil changed at 5K intervals, supercharger added 12K miles ago. Tires replaced at 24K. Top, passenger sunvisor, and puddle lamps replaced under warranty at 35K. Hopefully the next 50K will be just as uneventful.

very cool. I can't imagine 100k on Marilyn, who only has 13k now. Testament to the build of these ponies. Nice writeup.

Thanks all for the comments. Enjoy hearing how others rides are holding up too.

I hear you Z. On the one hand, I love driving this car a bunch and logging the miles, but on the other I can't wait to someday drive a bit less and have more of a showcar.

Nice work - I'll be joining you soon, currently at 97,500 or so! Similar reliability too, for the powertrain at least.

Thanks for the write up! I plan on keeping mine for a long time so it is good the cars last that long as long as you keep up with the service.

No issues with either, and no babying either item. A/C blows cold & strong. Clearly it's a bit of "luck of the draw" on many of these parts.

Nice to hear you are at 100k with no problems. I am 7 years from retirement and I intend to keep my 14 GT for a long time. I have a lot of catching to do though, I'm only at 8k.

Just for clarification to your link, engine has had a Steeda CAI and 93 octane tune since 35K miles....so for those concerned about long term reliability with a tune of this type it maybe provides some assurance.

^ Dean... curious, how did/do you "drive" your car?

Mainly street driven? track? strip? If on street, redlined often? never? babied? etc...

Was just curious as that would play a big part in longevity and reliability.
